Fudge orders a repopulation project by pairing muggleborn and halfbloods with purebloods. Was only able to read the very first chapter than forget until recently. The Pairings are Harry/Narcissa, Severus/Hermione, and Ron/Pansy. If anyone read this story please give your opinion and also a link and I'll look at it to see if its the right one. SPOILER: In the story Harry and Narcissa have a child thats because I was looking for the last chapter.
    :awesome

Sounds like crap. All Snape/Hermione stories should be burnt with Fiendfyre.

I just don't get the stories that have Harry with woman his mothers age or older.

No idea about the story, though, sorry.

I can't say I've ever seriously read a story that fell along the lines of the dreaded Marriage Law plot device that wasn't a spoof. They seem contrived and a bit ridiculous. It always struck me as far easier just to pass a law forbidding one to marry one's cousin... But then again, people are sheep.

Beyond my little rant, I dunno which story this is. Can't say I've seen it before.

    Because harems suck.

And oh yeah, why would the repopulation law force Narcissa with Harry? Last I checked she was already married and a mother to one.

More importantly, why the fuck would Fudge order a repopulation?

On topic, did a Google for this. Found one, but it contains HG/LM. It does have the repopulation stuff, so if you get off to that, read it.

Oh and I read the first chapter and almost died laughing when this came up.

A ministry that encourages adultery? All the males who are bored of their marriages just soiled themselves.

    Damn skippy.

WTF? Ron and Pansy are both purebloods; what does it help for them to be thrown together? Snape is a half-blood and Hermione is a Muggleborn, so what reason is there for them to be saddled with each other? The only viable pair is Harry/Narcissa, but both Harry's parents were magical, so he's not any less "magical" than the purebloods, right? Come on, it's just a cover to stick Hermione with Snape, which is without exception a terrible idea. If they were the same age and he wasn't a bitter fuck angsting over a dead woman and yet still attempting to fuck over her son, it would still never work.

Any "Marriage Law" type fic is a failure before it starts, with the only one I've ever enjoyed being Viridian's There's Always A Way. Oh, and also the one where Harry is forced to marry purebloods, and he has to obey their every command, but he turns the tables by fucking to death wife after pureblood wife that he's forced to marry, including Mrs. Zabini and I believe Daphne Greengrass, etc. Can't find the link, but it was very, very funny and satisfyingly stuck it to the purebloods. Anyone else remember that one?

    My sentiments exactly.

Yeah, that story was great. It was a one-shot and I think there was one chick who survived, I can't remember who, but apparently someone Harry wouldn't have wanted dead. Luna perhaps?

Sadly, stuff like Snape/Hermione is an example of how someone can actually be too awesome.

Specifically, Alan Rickman is such a total badass that by casting him as Snape they managed to create a strange kind of mass delusion causing people to forget the character is a pasty, bitter, emo, greasy, git due to the overwhelming levels of awesome making it impossible to associate Alan Rickman with greasy emofag git.

Well, the Alan Rickman in the HP movies is pretty cool, but the Alan Rickman from years ago, the one who took Die Hard from a decent action flick to one of the better action movies of that time, is indeed awesome. To be fair, Rickman is really too old to be a quality Snape, at least in the "make him a bastard" sense, at least in my view. I read once that Tim Roth was originally sought to be Snape, and that would have been just about perfect casting. Anyone who's seen him in Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, or especially in Rob Roy, knows that he can make you hate a character. Oh well; too late now.

LOL! I didn't say you couldn't keep it. And even if I had, you should have told me to STFU and kept it.

For the Ron/Pansy angle of the couple was were Pansy was actually a muggleborn adopted by the Parkinson family believing her to be pureblood and basically dissing her in front of the whole school.

Also about that story were Harry was forced to marry pureblood after pureblood. A link would be appreciated ;)

The story I requested from the start of the Thread can be found on Fanfiction.net.

That Ron/Pansy device seems a bit wooly at best imo.

As for the link to the other story mentioned -> The Widower Maker
