Here I'd pegged Silk Spectre as Vash.

I'd take dibs on Dr. Manhattan, but it's a little stereotypical...

I thought the movie was ok. Nothing amazing or life altering as some people seem to see it as. I was entertained but I thought the movie had a shit load of flaws, and it seemed a bit preachy.

I saw it. Amazing movie, really. Rorschach is my favorite character in the whole thing.

    Best part:
Rorschach's beatdown of the inmates in the jail.

Really awesome flick, I thought all the superheroes where awesome.

Dr Manhatten was badass and Rorschach was brilliant in every scene.

Best movie I've seen since Dark Knight, and I think I enjoyed it more actually.

The movie had it's flaws but I still enjoyed it. A bit slow at times but it's Watchmen, so it made up for it. And Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach was fucking brilliant.

Even though I knew what was going to happen in the end. I still got pissed over it.

Heard the directors cut is 4 hours long. If that gets released I probably will go see it again.

No I'm sorry the movie is good but Dark Knight is still far better and much more poignant. Dark Knight had a better message, a better story-line and a much better score. The fucking music made no sense and it killed a lot of the scenes in that movie.

the ending with the USSR and US getting along because they have a common enemy in Dr. Manhattan made no sense. The comics made it extraterrestrials and that was more plausible, but to make Dr. Manhattan the bad guy killed it. If the USSR saw that Dr.Manhattan blew up key cities in the US, they wouldn't ally, they would of seen it as an opportunity and attack. Also does Ozymandius have super strength or something? How did he catch the bullet?

Also I just don't see how there can be such a large divergence by just having Manhattan around and the US winning the Vietnam war. Rorschach was entertaining and I like what the actor did with the character but the Clint Eastwood voice got annoying for me quickly.

And all the Comedian puns got old really fast. "Guess he had his last laugh", "Guess I had the last laugh" "He was quite a comedian" "He wasn't that funny". Jesus I get it already. Joker had a double entendre name as well, and there weren't so many puns throughout Dark Knight.

Maybe it's because I'm not really a fan of Watchmen ( I read the comic and liked it but I didn't think it was this great piece of literature), but the movie just didn't connect with me. I enjoyed it as a popcorn flick, but no way was I gripping my seat, or will I talk make mention of it in conversation like I did Dark Knight.

It did make sense considering that key major cities all over the world were destroyed by Dr. Manhattans power, including Moscow. That's why they banded together. Albeit that using aliens would have been better. Still don't know why they changed it.

Hole-Lee Fucking Shit. The music was used in the most awesome way. The sex scenes where epic. The story stayed very close to the comic. Only a few minor details left out. And the movie ending wasn't as bad as I thought.

Though I think that if Doc Manhattan where to destroy key cities during a cold war, don't you think Russia would blame the US for not keeping their pet on a shorter leash? ;)

They would blame the US, of course. But to the point where they would refuse to work with them. I'm not to sure, I would be more worried over a "god" who has apparently declared war on the Human race and trying to stop him. Even by asking the US for help.

The music was well done. Mixture of some classics set the mood pretty well.

    Right.

I saw the movie, and I think that it was a decent adaptation. Yes, there were changes in the transition, but they didn't change my overall enjoyment of the film. It is, however, not as good as the graphic novel, and that owes mostly to the scenes that were changed or non-existent, especially the ending.

The ending makes a hell of a lot more sense then aliens. Mostly because morality is now imposed by an external force that has the ability to enforce it. If you're worried that Dr. Manhattan is going to blow you the fuck up if you don't play nice and get along then guess what? You're going to get along.

Makes much more sense then Chthulu-ish monsters/aliens popping up in NYC. Sure, they're aliens but eventually the USSR/USA will be like "How comes they stopped trying to invade?! WAAAAAAAAIIIIIITTTT a min, we were set up.
