I'm just quite bored at the moment and was wondering what the most reviews you have ever seen for a story.
I think "My Immortal" had around 10,000 before it was removed, though most were flames...

    Whats the most you've seen?

Offhand, the most I know is Emma Lipardi's An Aunt's Love, which has 10609. S'TarKan's NOFP has 8675. Jeconais probably would be up there too, had he not left ff.net and founded fanficauthors.net.

Last Dance by Amynoelle and Heaven, 11766 reviews, Words: 1,826,541

Remembered there was some ridiculously long story on portkey... didn't realize it was that big.

That would be Dead Famous (Inuyasha fanfic). It has slightly more reviews than An Aunt's love, somewhere around 10650 reviews, I think.

Is there any way to sort the stories at FF.net by the number of reviews they've received?

It will help to sort the wheat from the chaff out there in respect of the newer stories.

The number of reviews you get could be somewhat affected by your willingness to accept anonymous reviews too.

Josephine Darcy's SS/HP Marriage Stone is at 10906. I think it was second only to My Immortal in the HP fandom on fanfiction.net.

And in the Twilight world there's "Welcome to Drama Academy" at 11479, "Boycotts and Barflies" at 11624, and a contender for the throne, "Wide Awake" at 12235.

(I just scanned over the twelve pages of Twilight filtered for only 100K+ words... could be other fics under that threshold for all I know.)

Bullshit. Reviews are no way to judge a story. Most reviewers are just like, "Awesome; UPDATE!" even if the story sucks balls.

Nonjon, even by scanning the Twilight fandom you've suffered unduly. My dearest condolences upon you. Lets just keep that flaming tripe in the Twilight quarantine zone where it belongs.

This. To put it in real-world terms:
    1. The Beatles had millions of squeeing teenage fans in their day because of their music.
    2. N'Sync had millions of squeeing teenage fans in their day because of their music.
    C. The Beatles and N'Sync made equally good music.

He was asking to see if he could find the fic with the most reviews.

Jesus christ, I think we all know that reviews aren't a way to judge a fic, but looking at the statistics is always interesting, at least imo.

I wonder how would the stats change if they were to show number of unique reviewers. Most of stories with > 1000 reviews have them because of people like this:

Like everything, reviews are open to manipulation too.

But in the end, the really decent fics tend to get more reviews than shitty ones.

Maybe it is just me, but I tend to look at a new story on FFN only if it has more than three reviews per chapter ( apart from looking at the summary)

Make a Wish was good for the first five or so times he used the same joke but then it got stale. Otherwise I'm in the same boat.

And of course a few of them are slash stories with the little 13 year old girls squeeing and masturbating to the Snape/Hermione pairing or the Draco/Harry stories. Ugh, disgusting.
