It's not said to be a soul bond, they cannot talk or whatever. They did glow when exchanging fluffy words though. And Harry is apparently unable to sleep without Ginny. Granted, this story has one of the best Ginny characterizations around, but the idea is still fucking stupid.

What is really annoying and stops me from enjoying the story (I can stand the soul bond, as long as it doesn't get any worse) is that Harry is a fucking moralfag. He hasn't killed a single enemy yet and doesn't even seem to want to.

And no, this story starts as any other average indy!Harry deciding to stop being a pussy after Sirius' death. He trains, he goes to a shopping trip (!), he learns animagus transformation, he learns wandless magic, he goes on a date. He stops being pussy in terms of power and, gradually, skill too, but he is incapable of taking a life.

 

Right Learning to Breathe or something like that was the WeaponHarry. Guess I try this one out though your summary makes reading seem like a waste of time.

 

I sort of feel like the Harry not killing people thing is a way to keep the story going, because with the power!level he's at he'd probably kill off half the Death Eaters in a week if he were so inclined.

This story has been stalling for quite a while. I liked it back when the slow-paced character-building stuff was going on, but now that Harry is going after every Death Eater that shows his face and still isn't accomplishing anything tangible it's getting old.
