I've known this since the arc where she sneaks off in the middle of the night to dance naked, a case where filler was obviously made with some idea of the future of the manga.

Page 10, Yeah Baby! Clone army to the FACE bitch! They probably aren't gonna do shit because Pein will recover but w/ever fucking looks epic.

Dammit I knew it, clones didn't do shit, Mizukiesque face pwnage did not arrive, still the brace thing was pretty win.

Page 16-17 What's the other clone doing? One is molding the rasengan while the other appears to be molding the wind chakra yet he only makes a rasengan? Weird, I assume it's that he has insufficient chakra to make another rasenshuriken.

Pretty awesome chapter I have to say. Finally someone kicks that smug god realm's face in, I've been looking forward to that for a while. I wonder is Nagato going to die now or will Konan save him? Are we going to have some cutesie fluffy rebuilding Konoha and funeral chapters now? I think so.

If there is no Sasuke in the next 10 chapters I'll be happy. I'm a bit scared about Sasuke's reaction though. Pein destroyed Konoha so what's Sasuke got left to do? Kill the elders and that's about it, this leaves the avenue for a Team 7 reunification open, incidentally that would suck. I also fear a Naruto/Sasuke fight where Naruto gets beaten by Sasuke, which would be complete and utter bullshit because Naruto just took down Pein only for Sasuke to be unable to deliver the killing blow leading to more

Naruto (prone on the ground): SASUKE!
Sasuke (with object up arse): Dobe, you were weak. *whiney emo shit*
Naruto (still prone on ground): SASUKE!

Sneakily thinking ahead, perhaps Konan will take Nagato back, assuming he survives but is left greatly weakened, only to have Madara kill him because he destroyed Konoha (for that was supposed to be done by Madara).

 

I don't think Nagato (and maybe Konan) are going to escape from their hiding spot unharmed.

What purpose would it be to have Naruto figure out their location then?

Honestly though? They need to die. Jiraiya for his three rain bratty students is an equal-ish trade off.

The last page of him laying the smack down makes me feel tingly.. the Pein fighting arc has been brilliant so far.

But I guess it would be alot of dialogue next chapter.. as Pein would probably go all angsty about losing to Naruto, someone who probably "does not feel enough pain" etc etc...

The way this fight ends is far better than Orochimaru's death at the hands of Itachi.

 

Don't forget the wonderful lack of a monologue from Naruto. Though we'll probably get one next chapter.

 

I mistakenly thought that Kishimoto wouldn't pull CLONESPAM!! again, but for living in Okinawa for 2 years, I should have known that if it's not broke, use it till it is... well finally we see some emotion from Sakura, but it looks more like epicFail on her face as she is looking straight into Hinata's ..."assets"? (DAMN, Naruto heard that Hinata loves him and has epic boobage?! WAAAAAH!)

 

I'm praying Naruto kills Pein and gets this shit the fuck over with.

I hope he doesn't become a national hero or something equally stupid. Fact is, he saved them all but it was his fault Pein was there in the first place.

When Pein was destroying Konoha he was looking for Naruto, he asked everyone he came across where Naruto was so they all know he was looking for Naruto. The people blamed Naruto for the Kyuubi's deeds for years, i hardly think they're going to be 'understanding' now that their village has been destroyed by someone looking for him.

I hope Naruto gets something more than 'guts' soon, it annoys me to no end. The Yondaime even showed up and gave the whole 'I am your father' speech and only left Naruto with 'renewed determination.'

Sage mode is supposed to put 'in a league of his own' according to Shikaku but we all know he's still not going to be much of a match for Sasuke cause Kishimoto's a fanboy.

Worse yet, he's still spamming out clones.

Doesn't look like much of a Hokage to me. Raw power could only get you so far. Even the Kyuubi was fucked by a weaker foe.

By your method of assessment, Sasugay himself also do not show much improvement: Kirin, Fire techniques, genjutsu, chidori, more chidori and the sharingan techniques. And he's supposed to be the ninjutsu specialist with the sharingan.

Whatever techniques that doesn't get shown, doesnt mean necessarily that he doesn't know them. You want to see more techniques, thats what fanfic is for.
Defeating a Sannin++ opponent shows his improvement in strength already...

The whole fucking point is that the hero triumphs over the opponents with more skills, more brains more exp points etc etc using his highly recognizable small handful of special techs powered by love, trust, friendship and dare I say it, guts!

Who uses kage-bunshin... and is gutsy...

Oh yeah and then there's the whole prophecy thing about Jiraiya's students saving/dooming the world.....

Stupid comment #3! I would think the people reading this manga, and watching the anime, (for two and a half years!) would realize that Naruto is supposed to have a small jutsu libriary! It portrays his determination to win with the small arsenal he has AND the clever (and sometimes WTF?!) ways he defeats the villan with them. At the moment, he's not gonna be a Kakashi, or a Sandaime (who by the way are full grown men and have experienced more battle than Naruto...) So the real question should be, compared to those of his age, how far along is Naruto?

It's not the number of jutsu that makes you the Hokage. And if you can't understand that more jutsu =! more power =! better ninja, you are seriously missing the main theme of this manga.

I suppose when i said it was Naruto's fault i didn't explain properly. Its not exactly his fault, but it wasn't his fault what happened with the Kyuubi yet it didn't stop people from blaming him somewhat.

What i meant was; the way things happened might open old wounds for whoever's left. The Kyuubi was the greatest disaster to hit Konoha, a disaster which ended with Naruto involved. Pein's come and destroyed most of the village and once again Naruto's involved. People are hardly rational in crisis times. I thought the most realistic reaction would not be favourable for Naruto even though he's gained the respect of the ninja.

As for Naruto handing himself over to Pein...... When did i say or even insinuate that?

Six Avada Kedavras could have saved the village a whole lot of trouble.

If not him then i suppose Kakashi was probably the last viable candidate.

He was powerful, knowledgeable, unflappable and well known all over.

His name/reputation would inspire enough respect to perhaps keep Konoha's enemies at bay. Nothing attracts predators like wounded prey.

There's no-one left in my opinion. If Tsunade dies we might see Danzo leading the Village. Just a thought but i guess anything could happen at this point.
