I'm considering the source here and restraining myself from throttling this fangirl (she calls herself 'Azinine'), but it's really tempting to attack all out. The minute the personal attacks began flying, though, is getting me rather steamed. The fact that SHE has only written five stories for various fandoms (none of which are over 11000 words) is making me wonder why I even got involved.

I'm sorry, but in my opinion, people like her just tick me off. Andromalius, did you get any backlash for your honest review?

 

Lawl I love the old faithful argument they drag up every time this happens, if you don't like slash then your a bigot who hates all gay people. Nah man I know it's annoying all I'm trying to do is save you a little time and effort here. There has never been a better living definition of the expression "arguing with a brick wall" than when your talking about changing a fangirl. It might be funny for a little bit and kind of amusing but in the end all you manage to do is wear yourself out and get pissed off without changing a single thing.

 

Why do these people think accusing people of homophobia is a defense.

On an oh-so-slightly more serious note, my guess is that it's because a lot of the people who bother hounding down slashers are probably homophobic. I would say that most people who just don't read slash don't bother actually flaming the author. I know that I, at least, don't bother flaming the author for pairings I don't like unless it's a stealth pairing, like surprise!Harry/Ginny or Harry/Malfoy showing up in the middle of a perfectly decent indie Harry.

and I havn't read the last one. Yes, it's all very...bad, yes, Stephanie Meyer can't write worth shit, but they were cute...and all she did was work off something she knew would work. I mean, all the twelve year old girls swooning over Edward cullen, it was hilarous...and annoying...But entertaining. The second book was better than the first, partly because I despise Edward Cullen, and have a slight thing for Jacob black. (Long story, I don't want to get into it) But I don't really like the series as a whole, and Anne Rice can kick Twilight's ass any day

Twilight Saga

Yes I have the whole Twilight Saga and the whole Harry Potter series. In some ways Twilight is better than Harry Potter because of the romance. I think Twilight is more for girls but the guys that read it tend to like it. Its more of a young adult book than a children's book mainly because chapter 20 of Eclipse and there on fwd. I think that the romance in Twilight is so intense that I feel that I am Bella half the time... (and I wish I could be...but andy girl who reads the Saga wants to be her...mainly because of Edward.) Edward Cullen is the hot 110 year old vampire who falls in love with a human (Bella Swan) and she, evidentlly, falls for him. Her blood is the most potient thing he has ever smelt, therefore her blood is tempting to drink.... but he realizes that the pain of losing Bella to death would be far worse than the pain that comes from restraining her blood. Because of her smell they have to give up things that normal realtionships have including sex. (Which Bella begs for.... Edward looks at himself as a monster who doesn't deserve Bella as a girlfriend..lover.. and later (spoiler) wife. Bella learns Edward's secret from an old family frien, Jacob Black, that turns out to be a werewolf...and in my opioion an asshole. He tries to steal Bella away from Edward later in the series, and end up rape kissing her. Even though Bella begs and begs Edward to turn her into a vampire he won't turn her into one because he will not have her give up her soul, life, morality...and if he turns her into a vampire he feels he is being way to selfish, because he is being able to keep her forever, which is what he wants(and sex)... but he will not let her give up anything.. I wont give anything away from Breaking Dawn. But the action is pretty intense from this book facing James Victoria Newborn and of course the Volturi. These are all people and groups who are considered the 'bad vampires' because they drink human blood unlike the Cullen family (vegitarians) I love this book and seriously I read the whole series everyother week.

I know that post was long ago.. but i still think you should or should've read it. the first few chapter are boring but the romance later in the book and the series (eclipse and breaking dawn mostly) is amazing. I truley wish that I was Bella in every single incident when she is with Edward. Ugh I hate Jacob Black though...
