Sounds very suspicious but more so because of the vague language. I still think it will end in an unsurprising manner with Sam being in the wrong and Dean in the right, only it will be interesting to see how it ends.

Side Note: The brothers can't get possessed, they have those special tattoos.

You make a point, but the way I see it aside from the fact that even the smallest slice through the tat will make them useless, if any one could bust past the tattoos its going to be Lucifer himself.

Finally got to watch it and I gotta agree with Nonjon. This ep didn't do much for me. Not having Sam use his powers against the ghouls just struck me as the umpteenth example of the writers sucking Dean's dick and using Sam as a damsel in distress for him to save (Return of THE DEAN WINCHESTER SHOW!!!).

Sam might not have been able to kill them with a thought the way he did with Alistar, but we know for a fact that his TK should work on normal objects (like bodies or knives). Building up Sam as this potential Demon King, and then having him get wtfpwnt by the supernatural equivalent of vultures was just stupid.

I think the writers felt a lot of pressure not to keep Adam around, but that was a mistake too. Adam could have been a useful character, so long as he only appeared every once in a while, and having him die before the Winchesters even met him just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The whole exchange about who the real monster was should have occurred between Adam and the ghoul, with him deciding not to become a hunter afterwards.

The point that Sam and ghoul!Adam both made is that there is no way that John Winchester's child could be a civilian. He's dangerous or he's food.

Alright much improved episode, it was very cool to finally get a look at what Castiel's host was like and see that it wasnt all sunshine and happiness. Getting taken as a host pretty much fucked up his life. The fight scenes were pretty awesome and my prediction was right that they'd find out about Sam tonight. However when Nonjon showed that blurb earlier about Sam locking himself away, I didnt think it would be Dean and Bobby doing it against his will. That was just a little fucked up locking him down there in the dark when he hasnt even hurt anybody.

Most importantly however was the preview for next weeks episode. Holy Raptor Jesus that looked fucking awesome. Sam going for Lillith, Sam going for Cas, Sam going for Dean, and more Ruby which is always a plus to me. However am I the only one who thinks especially with what was shown in the preview that Dean is getting amazingly smug/self righteous/superior about just about everything?

Awesome episode. I loved it. I loved it.
We never actually found out what happened to Castiel - who dragged him back to heaven (although we all can guess.) Does anyone remember 1984? When the "unpatriotic" people were reprogrammed? I can't remember what Orwell called that process - but Castiel's changes (regression?) brings it to mind.

    Edited to add:
Too bad that Sam can't drink his own blood to get the power boost. I hope that means that he isn't irredemiable yet.

Nice episode. I like the background of Jimmy. And Collins acting was great with showing the major differences between Jimmy and Castiel. I'm not sure why Anna was randomly in the backseat, and then just randomly popped out again other than to say she couldn't find Castiel. She needs a hobby like weilding Lucifer's sword again when she gutted Uriel. I like new(old) Castiel. I always liked him best when he wasn't sucking off Dean, and couldn't decide whether to smite someone or give them a confused look.

Everynow and then The CW redeams itself...

It over comes its UPN ancestry and produces a half hour or more of quality TV.

Today was one of those days.

Jimmy is one of the best characters to come out of the show. He redeams the religious man archetype. Mainly because he had aspirations outside his religion, like his family.

How they handled Sam and his blood issue... well freakin done!

Though I'm wondering if Jimmy got the bum deal here. Whose to say what came back from heaven was Castiel... or some other similar plot twist that will have us reeling in a couple weeks.

I have nothing bad to say about this episode... Everything fitted together to create this episode seemlessly in my mind.

The big surprise to me was the episode of smallville.

Holly Crap that was the Episode!
From the moment I saw clark torn in half hanging in her closet. I was at the edge of my seat.

It literally freaked me out. I had not expected to see such an episode come out of that show.

Thank you CW! Keep up the Awesomness!

The next to last episode of the season, and Sam's locked in an iron bound panic room. This will be incredible.

btw, what makes that dagger so incredibly powerful? Was it forged with angel blood, or what?

Episode was AWESOME!!! I loved it. Although when Castiel first took Jimmy's body and looked at the little girl I got a flashback from Angel with Illyria. And I think that either Castiel has been brainwashed or that he's putting on a elaborate act because he's being watched. Remember he said that even Dean's dreams weren't safe to talk in.

And holy crap the next two episodes look awesome!!!! Poor Sam.

Last night's episode was brilliant. Castiel is unintentionally a dick: " I am not your father." Then disappears for a year.

The preview for the next two episodes look amazing. Did anyone notice that what Dean said to Sam ("You walk out that door, don't you ever come back") was the same thing John told Sam when left Sam for college?

Yes, I did. At least *Dean* has some justification for drawing that line in the sand. John was just being an overcontrolling jerk. Dean is treating Sam the way he would if Sam were going to meet his pusher.

It's just... well, actually, going cold turkey (wherever that phrase came from) is generally not the best way to pull out of a substance addiction. You can't just cut off an alcoholic - past a certain degree of addiction, the body actually *needs* the stuff. That's why it's called "dependence." Although I have no idea what the correct transitional substitute would be for demon blood. Angel tears? Holy water?

And where IS Ruby? Why has she suddenly disappeared? She had Sam damn near completely enthralled. Just a little more stuff might have been all it took to be utterly enslaved.

There are only two more 48-min episodes, right? There's A Lot to wind up in an hour and a half.

I think she has been using Sam, stringing him along for some devious reason.

Eh it could be but Ive always seen Ruby as more of the longshot gambler type, she isnt working for anyone but herself and shes betting on the horse she thinks is gonna take her straight to the top. Thats just my opinion though.

Maybe its just the actress change that made me question her intentions (not that her being a demon didn't make me question them before). The character just hasn't sat quite right with me this season.

No no fair enough, I like Genevieve Cortese well enough now but it took a while. I about choked to death when I heard her say that bit in Lazarus Rising about not wanting to come between Sam and Dean. She only really started to appeal to me as an actress in I Know What You Did Last Summer I think was the name. I know it sounds a little cliched but the sex scene with her and Sam was the first time I actually really bought into her really being the demon she is.

    1) Castiel has decided to hedge his bets. Dean AND Sam, being two strings to his bow.
    2) Is Gabriel dead?
    3) It's going to be a cliffhanger, isn't it?
