The official beta stage hasn't started. I'm sure that there is in house beta going on, but the one for the public hasn't had a set date yet. They have given out some beta keys however

Yep, it's a beta that you can sign up for now though, you gotta have a game registered with battle.net though.

 

I dabble from time to time, not very good though. It's sad because I have been playing for 11 years now.

 

I stopped playing Starcraft a few years ago when I realised that I didn't have anywhere near the amount of time I'd have to spend playing to stop the trend of continuous defeats at the hands of what appeared to be the entire population of Korea.

I'm still definitely looking forward to Starcraft 2 though, despite being moderately disgusted if not surprised at Blizzards splitting of it into 3 parts. At least I can console myself that I never gave them any money through WoW at least.
