I personally find the sniper updates to be pretty awesome. The minigun and the machete aren't that great, I'd take jarate and the back shield and probably even the bow over the normal weapons.

The spy's updates are a little weird, but I guess they're ok.

 

Which class do you think is best for beginners? I suck big time right now, I can use any tip I can get.

 

Depends on how you play, I played as a medic the first few hours, stayed behind the big guys.

It does not matter much which class you play though, play all of them to get a feel of their role, then pick one.

 

I liked the scout, just for the twitchy feel of it pissing off everyone else.

 

My personal favorite is the engineer.

Let's me multi-task, since if I get a sweet setup I'm just doing maintenance while I study or read.

I tried everything at first and stuck with Pyro for a while - that one is great or at least good on almost all maps. Once I got a feeling for it I started to switch classes depending on the situation.

Now I even like to spy: The cloak and dagger is great (if you're a spy) and gay (if you're an engi).

I haven't played it since the Spy Vs Sniper updates.

Dunno what they were thinking trying to make it strictly luck based, re-adding the Milestones was a very good idea on their part. Too bad the trade option isn't up yet, of course that could pretty much make getting the new weapons absurdly easy.
