I'm actually supprised that Sasuke wasn't already a missing ninja, and that Naruto & Sakura's motivation to get him back wasn't the 'Alive' part of 'Dead or Alive'. Seriously, stabbing a comrade in the chest repeatedly and defecting to an enemy village aren’t enough to get you declared a missing ninja anymore? If Naruto kills Sasuke because of this, Danzo's my new favorite character. At least until seven chapters later, when Danzo monologues and explains his half assed evil reasoning behind this decision. The minute I saw Danzo had become Hokage it was like a moment from a bad fanfic had jumped out onto the page, I was and waiting for the shitstorm to start. For now though, I'm going to savor the sweet taste of Kishimoto doing something right for once.

Sometimes I wish Naruto had just used Food Cart Destroyer at VoTE and dropped a toad on Sasuke. Try Chidori on Gamahiro bitch. -_-

Feelings at start of chapter: Unenthusiastic.
Feelings mid-chapter: This shit sucks more than a vacuum.
Feelings at end of chapter: Fuck yeah Danzou rocks!

 

Anyone else who thinks this isn't quite the reaction Kishimoto was after when he made Sasuke kill on sight?

 

Still Danzo had one epic act as the Hokage "Kill Sasuke" how do you say no to that!?

 

Well, at least I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking about Samui's boobs for pretty much the whole chapter.

But you know what's made me laugh the most? The end panel, where the last sentence sums up the chapter. This weeks one was:

"How will Naruto react to this cold-hearted decision."

And here's Sasuke a couple of pages back:

"If anyone tries to reject the way I've chosen to live my life, I'll kill everyone they love."

Fucking cold hearted indeed, at least we know how far Sasuke is up Kishi's butt.

 

I'm disappointed just when i was starting to like Tsunade as a character Kishi goes ahead and pull this stunt. Seriously 2.5 years and he wasn't even formally named an missing-nin? Dam just how incompetent are you Tsunade?

 

It's called a necessary filler chapter.

 

She probably did it as a favor to Naruto. Or thought he had a chance to persuade/bring the Uchiha back. Or maybe, keeping Sasuke off the kill-list was the only thing that motivated Naruto to train, kinda like bait.

 

Well there's tt handy 3 year training journey with Jiraiya to explain any amount of jutsu training/maturing/Deus ex machina... Jiraiya was suspicious of Danzo himself - proof: Jiraiya warned Tsunade not to underestimate Danzo/ROOT before he left to investigate Pain.

 

Right now, all naruto knows about Danzo is:
1) He allied with Hanzo to destroy Nagato;s rebel group
2)He's the 6th Hokage

and possibly, that he made Sai the way he was.

Nothing else points toward him knowing/learning about Danzo.

 

You mean Sasuke who left of his own volition 'for power' wasn't a missing nin already? See, this is the kinda shit...

Its hugely conflicting the way kishimoto tries to portray the harsh reality of ninja life while simulataneously trying to forcefully shove this bonds shit down everyone's throat.
How could Tsunade or any Hokage for that matter not have made him a missing-nin?

So despite the obvious parallel between Sasuke and Orochimaru (who left under similar circumstances, was her own teammate and turned out to be Konoha's single worst enemy/worst traitor) she never had Sasuke as a missing-nin? That doesn't even make sense. Even Jiraiya who used to want to 'bring Orochi-teme home' told Naruto to forget about Sasuke, surely Tsunade knew the right decision that had to be made.

On top of that Sasuke's now written like some uber-villain without purpose. 'Anyone doesn't like the way i live my life, I'll kill everyone they love..'........?????

As if he wasn't annoying enough when he was a revenge obsessed kid with a lot of hate for his brother. Now he's just reminds me of some cartoon villain who's 'evil' for the sake of there being a bad guy.
This annoys me almost as much as: 'so team seven can laugh together again'.

Then there's Naruto's little 'I understand Sasuke' bit. Are you kidding me? Is the situation even the same? Is this what kishimoto killed Jiraiya's character off for? So that Naruto could understand Sasuke?

The only thing that could make up for this now is Sasuke being killed by one of the following;
-a snake
-some particularly vicious flock of birds,
-Karin,
-The eight tails,
-a chidori from Naruto,
-AIDS,
-Danzo-the-one-armed-bandit,
-An errant kunai from a genin in Taki
-Global warming
-Inari.

 

Tsunade strongly believes in Naruto. She believes he can bring Sasuke back to Konoha and he'll redeem himself.

I'm not saying it's the soundest logic around. I'm simply stating what's the likely fact in this matter.

 

Will you slags ever stop bitchin' about Sasuke? It's gone waaaaay passed annoying. You guys continuously try to mix logic with Kishi's jizz...

Naruto also knows that Danzou disobeyed Tsunade's orders and attempted to have Sasuke assassinated.

For those of you wondering why Sasuke hasn't been hunted as a missing nin until now, how about this?

Because he was with Orochimaru.

Was this not obvious? Orochimaru isn't hunted as a missing ninja nor are any S-ranked ninja.

They are too powerful to leave to simple hunter squads, and most villages don't want to expend the resources and accept the casualties involved with hunting a ninja like that.

Now that Sasuke is on his own Danzou wants him eliminated once and for all, which makes sense.

 

So Sasuke killed Orochimaru, an S class nuke-nin, and Danzo thinks a few squads could kill him? I think Sasuke already is a S-class ninja.
