I'm sorry but I'd have to agree with Snarf, these particular stories isn't even about Harry Potter anymore, its about some dude named Rahkesh in some fantasy setting with a few smatterings of Harry Potter places/characters.

Its a setting where Voldemort, the biggest big bad in canon history is reduced to the point that he's not even a big bad anymore, just another grunt Rahkesh could wtfpwn in his spare time. its basically a fic where the entire canon universe is replaced by Miranda's own making, and to honest, if I was going to read a Harry Potter fanfiction, I expect Harry Potter aspects. To me, reading this is like opening a porn mag just to find someone replaced everything with beastiality. Sure its still about sex but thats the only thing common about it.

 

A story that I can't help but enjoy reading and re-reading is Mehetabelo's Narcotic Effects. There's eight chapters and the pairing is Harry/Narcissa. I realize there aren't very many good Harry/Narcissa stories, but I guarantee that this is one of the best.

 

Agreed. Narcotic Effects is one of the very best, if not the best Harry/Narcissa story out there. It's a little angsty (Harry being an alcoholic and all) but from what I remember, Narcissa is extremely well written (Harry too, of course).

 

Absolutely. This story sent me on a Harry/Narcissa kick that lasted until I realized there weren't any other fics like it of that pairing. I can't help but wonder how Mehetabelo would do on a Harry/Fleur fic....

 

Probably "The Lie I've Lived" by jbern, the entire Denarian series by shezza, and "Apprentice Potter" and its sequels by Draco664.

Also, I agree with rocket_runner and Matian, if you enjoy Harry/Narcissa then "Narcotic Effects" is a must read.

 

He actually did write one. It's only a oneshot, but it's pretty good.
