I tried buying tickets online at around 6 PM today. They were all sold out at every theater within 2 towns. Well, except for the 12:45 one, but that's really pushing it.

Is this movie critic-proof?

 

Thinks so. Its already out in England since the 19th from what I heard on another forum.

 

Awesome Movie - Worth IT!!

I saw transformers last night - based in South Africa.

I was apprehensive because most sequels never live up to the first mvie and i'm a huge transfomer 1 movie fan so was worried it was all hype.

But suffice to say that i was throughly entertained - there is a hell of a lot more action though some parts are cliche it has every aspect of the previous movie and undoubtebly will be a hit.

And MEGAN FOX - who can deny any movie with her in - she's the bonus.

Seriously go watch the movie preferably late at night or middle day when their are no kids - they are loud, talk incessantly (Tough i was at a premier) so try to avoid them and go at an irregular time.

The movie's graphics are spectacular ans the introduction of some characters are brilliant - hilarity insues when SPOILER ALERT!!

Megan fox takes one of the decepticons (small robot) thing as a pet and it humps her leg like a dog, as well as the two new autobots who are like lil' gangster rappers with big eyes.

Love the new actor as well who styarts crying and screaming he doesn't wan to die.

LOL - it was a good movie but i had been drinking with a few friends before when went in so it may have been the alchol but that just added to the effect ;-)

 

It's truly incomprehensible to me that people would want to go see this movie. Are you that desperate for a bit of skin from Megan Fox? (Who, btw, is apparently CGI 'enhanced'... so you aren't even seeing the real thing here, just a plastic reproduction both in looks and acting.)

 

I liked the movie... Its a good sequal but I had a hard time following along. Maybe it was just me but I was getting confused which transformers were which.

Especially the silver ones.

That and the plot moved so fast during the dialogue that I didn't even realize when one arc ended and one started.
Suddenly everyone's talking about energon and I'm trying to remember when that plot element came about.

And that is saying something for such a long movie. What was it... a good 2 hours 45 minutes.

If I wanted to see some T&A I'd just go to a porn site. I went to Transformers to see giant robots beating the ever-loving shit out of each other. I was not disappointed.

 

This many times over.

Optimus kicked loads of ass. Wheelie and Skids (the twins) were hilarious, and I almost drooled over the corvette they had in there. Still, its not something I'd go see again unless it was on someone else's coin.

Saw the movie in the cinema yesterday together with my brother, my sister and her boyfriend. While us males of the group cackled madly at all of the violence, my sister fell asleep. Kind of hard to do that with all of the explosions, but she prevailed somehow...

The movie itself was made of sheer awesome in an awesome bowl with a little awesome on top. True the whole thing was confusing as hell what with all of the new robots, but I think mainly it was the CGI itself. Bits and pieces of robots where flying everywhere and I remember that my eyes could hardly keep up. Your eyes was simply too busy to watch it all to follow the story properly.

The humor was great, although sometimes a little silly. Still funny, just... silly.

All the product placement however became evident just two minutes into the film. Fucking Audi-bots... there's goddamn Audi's in every car-related-movie these days. For some reason they are always driven (are, in this case) by the bad guys.

9/10 from me. 'Effing awesome movie.

 

Will watch soon. First gave me a damned headache from all the flying parts and jerky camera.

It was exactly what I expected it to be. There were giant robots destroying the shit out of each other. There were a staggering amount of explosions. There was a really hot chick, who kept getting the camera at her beautiful bosom as she ran. This is what I expect out of a Michael Bay movie. It was good mindless action for two and a half hours

 

It was hard to tell the original transformers apart back then too, only a few stood out a lot.

 

Optimus went gangsta in this movie and that made it completely worth it to me, especially with lines like "I want your FACE!" - that alone (personally) made it worth every single bit of the $9.50 I spent.

It really didn't feel as complete as the first movie to me plot wise however it fulfilled my every expectation

 

I think most of us can agree the plot wasn't worth the $n I paid for it. Luckily, I went to see action, with shit being blown up in an entertaining and innovative fashion; my standards weren't exactly high here.

Bumblebee and Optimus kicked so much ass, I couldn't help but go, 'Aw, no way...YES.' during the parts where they dominated the screen. Tedious were the humans, but the robots really made it worthwhile. Like they were supposed to.

I haven't seen the movie, yet, but I can say right now that Megan Fox is the very last reason to see this movie. In fact, her and Shia La-whatever's presences in the first movie was my greatest disappointment.

This movie is about fucking Transformers - giant robots blowing shit up.

Do you really need anything else in a film?

The answer is no, for the slower folks.

I thought the movie was great and the fight scenes were even better in IMAX. The story was ok, but as Howdy said, it doesn't fuckin matter. Movies about robots fighting robots. Thats what there was and thats why it rocked.

I think the movie sucked and I want my $9 bucks back, hell that's 9 movies in RedBox. The first movie was decent.
Almost 1/4 of the movie was in the comic they gave you when you purchased the ticket.
About where the bad guys kidnap the dude's (icbf to look up the name) parents in France, I lost complete interest.

The movie can be summed in: Useless soldiers, megatron useless gay scream of 'decepticoooooons!', explosion, run, explosion run, fin.
The evisceration of the quote "One shall stand...." If you have a staff of writers, you could've come up with something better.
