TheRealTechN9neFan...I have some advice for you.

Let us liken DLP to the real world.

There are Gods in the Real world and there are Gods in DLP. They are the administrators.

In the real world if I blasphemy against the Gods nothing happens to me. This is bad because stupid runs rampant in the world. Sometimes I contribute to it much to my shame.

In DLP the Gods, unlike in the real world, have a lot of power. Once you enter this world you are pledging to follow their rules and submit yourself as one of their followers. When you obey their rules everything goes happy for you.

However, when you blasphemy one of them then you have incurred their wraith. And unlike in the real world, the Gods of DLP will use their power to smite you. If you survive their smiting and continue to infect this world with your stupidity then they will remove you from this world to save it.

Now just think guys what the real world would be like if run by the Gods of DLP. I must now give to the DLP Gods my daily offering.

I desperately hope the surgically removed hymen of Bonnie Wright will mollify them. All Praise be to the Lords of DLP!

And TheRealTechN9neFan...it has been a pleasure reading your rage-inspired words and stupid dick humor.

    --byl, out.

I'll admit it, I winced. Horribly and repeatedly, and probably will be for the foreseeable future whenever I remember this sentence.

Also, TROLL IN THE DUNGEON! Just thought you ought to know.

Have you heard Techs latest music? It's very enjoyable and only his next album is going to be truly hardcore. I'm also looking forward to that. And I'm not meant to be understood, I'm just here.
And I never meant to act like a douchebag, sometimes it just comes out, so you know, sorry and shit.

I propose that the last two pages of this thread be deleted to save the Potter Law thread.

Seconded. bylfolx's post was cute though. In a deranged, off the wall way.

Just one thought about that... seeing as most of the money is held by the pureblood families, wouldn't the Goblins want to hold and execute the wills for those families so as to keep greater control over that money and thus the stability of their business?

They also probably want to manage your wand, your children and your penis, because that would also mean more control over your money.

Yes but that's just not plausible. However with their famed confidentiality and security offering safe storage and prompt execution of important documents would be within easy reach and a lucrative business venture.

It would only work if the wizards wanted the Goblins to handle their wills. Which they don't, because they don't trust the Goblins. For good reason.

I can see how the dark families would mistrust the goblins but I can also see most of the light ones would want to follow Dumbles view on second chances and trust.

No, they wouldn't. People think that Dumbedore is eccentric, at best. Nobody emulates him to the extreme of believeing that those green little fuckers are worth even one chance.

Quite true. It's also been pointed out to me that even Hagrid doesn't like them and that when Hagrid doesn't like a dangerous magical creature then you had best be very very afraid of them. Not my words but I guess I'd agree all the same.

How would that help their business. Either way you look at it the scenario plays out like this.

    Person A dies.
    Person B inherits his money.

    End of story

How would the goblins profit from holding the will?

Well if they had access to wills, and let's say a large company like Nimbus Brooms were to be passed on to someone who they believed to be less than competent they could advise people to sell shares in the company and if they had shares they would also probably profit, or at least not lose money. Or they could just not notify anyone of the will, which would.....do something, I guess. Although that's only if they have some semblance of a shares system, or a stock market, because it's entirely possible they don't.

This is only going to prompt another discussion on wizarding economy. Wizards do not have stocks or shares, they do not have stakeholders, they have all the economical structure of an 11th pigsty.

Also, I'm not aware of any place where banks have any control over wills, unless you deposit one in a safe box. Another Harry Potter fanon invention.

Wills are dealt with by the orcs. In a big orcish building. They wear suits and have christmas parties.

Because I can make stuff up too.

Harry should never have a "natural aptitude" for wandless magic, and Harry shall never have "long flowing locks."
