Next chapter I suppose. His r00t guards will be matched/overpowered by the assasination as Danzo stands by. Then he annilihates them all with his right arm on the last panel. Cue the ending comments 'What is this mysterious new power?!'

Oh. Wow. Danzou has a Sharigan. Seriously, were they handing these things out like candy at one point or another? Then again, I suppose there were a lot of 'samples' left behind after Itachi did his thing so it's not entirely ludicrous that Danzo couldn't get his hands on one.

It's still lame though.

 

Here's to hoping we'll see one instance of Sharingan not being what it's hyped up to be.

 

Ok, enough with the Sharingan bashing. Yes, from a plot overview, it seems that it's being over used by Kishi. But let's be serious for a minute. To the ninja of the Narutoverse, the Sharingan is the goddamn Holy Grail. Everyone ninja who knows his shit is well aware of how powerful of a tool (and a boon) it is to their work. And ninja always strive to improve their perfomance to be strong enough to actually do shit. For some, it's a quick shortcut to power. For others, it an easy way to become famous. (in both cases, Kakashi)...

So really, if there's any chance to get the Sharingan, do you seriously think people like Danzo will let it go?

 

Lawl. Am I the only one who thinks Naruto is deluding himself? The whole cheer with him and Kakashi... feels so fake.

Well, some progress with Madara. With Kakashi knowing it, maybe there's hope. And Danzo sharingan, meh. It won't make him THAT much more powerful. Unless he's some Uchiha's bastard.

Naruto will most likely, if he makes it, get kicked out of the Kage meeting. If he doesn't, well, wow. The most probable thing that's gonna happen, is ROOT will appear, and then Kakashi Naruto and Yamato are gonna throw down and kick some ROOT ass, followed by moving on. As for Danzo's Sharingan, well, as has been stated before, it's a transplant. Bastard children, if they had it, would have it in both eyes.

 

Yeah, definitely a transplant but I wonder if its got the same chakra gulping problem as Kakashi's. In any case I still wanna see what he actually does with it. Yeah the sharingan is a next-level, ultra useful, megah4x tool but don't forget that Kakashi was a genius and would probably have been famous on his own without the bloody thing; youngest academy graduate, Jounin at 12 (before the sharingan)etc.

On another note...

Please god, please don't have Naruto barging into the conference and actually convincing the Raikage to forgive some guy who's part of an organisation that stole from Kumo twice, the second instance being the Raikage's very own brother.

I wish Danzo would get his ass kicked in this next chapter. I know it's not going to happen, but for once I'd like some arrogant ass to get his ass kicked after sending his bodyguards and saying "I need some exercise" or whatever.

 

Anyone else find it funny that Naruto is bandaged up the same way as Danzo? Maybe that's how he'll get in the conference.

 

Oh, I love the Sharigan. I know it's cliche and all but if I ever write a Naruto story I want to write a Magnekyo!Naruto (I saw an awesome concept once where Naruto was expirimented on at birth but it turned lame). I know it's a cliche and whatever plotline but, damn, the Sharigan is cool.

So is Itachi. Coolest character in Naruto, except maybe Kakashi. Skilled without being all gay about it.

The point is, while the Sharigan is cool, the plot device fails. I'm sure that there could have been something, anything, under all of those bandages that would have been a more interesting or well thought out twist than this.

Immortality: "Fuck cellular regeneration, you just need to eat up a lot of carrots so you can see right."

Summoning: "Yeah, I summoned a freaking god with my eyes, its cool."

Split-second genjutsu without chakra: "Well the eyes have a chakra supply of their own, so there."

Amaterasu: "Yes, I just shot fire out of my eyes. Does it hurt? Why would it hurt, I'm an Uchiha. I'm special."

Just got caught up with the manga.

I was saddened by Jiraiya's death, and pissed off at Kakashi's before the whole PainRebirth scene. It seemed to me that Pain abandoned his ideals a little bit too quickly though. I mean this is the man who's killed countless people, including his mentor, destroyed konoha, raged for years, etc. etc. and he just gives it all up after a few words from Naruto?

Yeah that was a bit hard to swallow. Oh well, at least Kakashi and everyone else who died was revived.

On abilities: It's nice to see Sasuke get his butt kicked a few times. I was getting tired of his ass wtf!pwning everything in sight. But he still gets more random power upgrades.

And finally Naruto is actually kicking some ass. Seriously, for a fat minute Sasuke was making him look straight up retarded.

And yes, the endless Sharingan upgrades/plots are getting annoying as hell. At this point, what can't it do?

Well, at least it's official now: Danzo can kick some ass.

And we didn't see Naruto's 'new' Oiroke no Jutsu. Hmm, I remember Kishimoto saying he wouldn't mind drawing a lot more risque scenes, but the editor wouldn't accept them... or something. Just something that stuck in my head.

 

Hmm, a new, neutral country will be the meeting place... and they don't have ninja. Sounds kinda interesting.
