Hmm. Any of the P45 chipset boards you have there would be good. The $120 one is alright. Frankly, these days, I've found that the motherboards don't make that much of a difference and you really only buy the ones that have all the features you want.

Go for the cheapest one there. It has 1600/1333 FSB, so your e8400 will fit in nicely there, 1066 RAM, so your RAM will be mega awesome and enough slots for all your shit.

DON'T go for that one if you want to SLI or Crossfire though. You only have one slot for your graphics card- which is fine, really. I only use one video card and I love my PC.

I only have the one video card right now so I should be fine. Thanks for the help.

Any motherboard with the P45 chipset is good. Which particular board you get depends on what features you want (number of USB ports, whether you want to use crossfire/SLI, are you using DDR2 or DDR3 memory etc.).

EDIT: Shezza said it first. <.<

I've got the 750i and have no issues with it, the EVGA brand though. Overclocks well, nice BIOS. Have to hit a review site for the others

We here in Australia pay ridiculous premiums for computer hardware. Add an extra 30% on wholesale prices due to shipping, import duty and tax and we really get raped. Our RRP's are like 40% higher than other countries rrp's after conversion. Fucking sucks to live in an isolated part of the world.

You ever thought about asking someone to price out the shit for you and shipping it over? Would that save any cash on a person shipping over a few things at a time, versus the gigantic markup your retailers are doing?

Would still have to pay 10% tax and 5% import duty plus shipping which is very expensive for heavy items so it becomes a small saving but the lack of a warranty makes the purchase not worth it.

I really like the look of your new case. How easy was it to put together?

Most difficult build I have ever done. Took me a very long time. Hard drives alone took a long time due to special mounting system. Got home at 5pm and finished the build at midnight. Very tedious and the cable management is terrible. Turned out well though.

Basically put a new computer together, only used the old hard drive, disc drive and old case fan.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor (overclocked to 3.27 GHz)

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler

Thermaltake Black Widow SopranoRS 101, has a clear side so you can see the insides. has places for four different fans, using two case fans keeps it at 35-38 degrees.

    Antec 500 watt power supply
