Im willing to give this a shot, but at the first hint of Disney trying to family up Marvel I say we thaw old Walt out and kick him in the balls.

Fuck this shit. Disney invented politically correct, and they just bought Marvel... well the movies anyway. They already screwed spiderman by letting him get a happy ending. Now they're adding Disney to the mix?

Pirates was great and all but we all know this can't be good. I wouldn't be shocked if Thor stopped being divine so as not to offend anyone.

Marvel, several years ago anyhow, was moving way darker and more mature to bring readers back. Disney, worst case I can see them kiddying up shit to "widen" the audience, and ruin it even more.

Oh fuck. Man is this going to suck. Although Disney can make some good movies none of them have been higher than PG-13. So any Marvel movie is going to have a lot of stuff cut out of it.

And suddenly the question of "Marvel or DC?" was answered.

It's very unlikely that this will effect any of the movies. The movie rights for Spider man, Iron Man, X-men, etc are currently already owned by other studios for future flicks, all this means is Disney makes some money off of those and will have a few X men and Avengers rides in Disney World.

    There was never any question.

I wonder how this will affect Universal in Orlando, as they have at least 3 Marvel based rides, The Hulk, Dr. Doom drop thing, and another I can't remember. And they happen to be right down the road from Disney.

You know. I hear there is a Kingdom hearts 3 is in the making.

I predict Lance Bass reprising the role of Sephiroth and someone like Joe Pesci or Danny Devito doing Wolverine.

    Enjoy those nightmares.

Don't worry, Watchmen ruined any hopes of more r-rated superhero movies.

And thus Disney takes one more step to controlling the world.

Just wait. It'll come down to Wal-mart, Google, and Disney. Which army will you join?

By the way Xiph where is your avatar from? The girl looks familiar...

    Eurotrip.

Also; The answer is join all three and start a war from the inside. Or do the V for Vendetta route and just start bombing shit.

Don't understand why people are mad about this. Disney'll just have some other studio that they own produce the movie. Disney greenlit Pulp Fiction, which was produced by Miramax (A company Disney owns). Same thing with No Country For Old Men. Disney has no problem with R rated movies.

I believe that the actress is Kristen Kreuk, and she played Lana on Smallville.

I doubt it would happen, but I hope they don't even consider replacing Goofy with Wolverine.

One of my favorite companies bought out by one of my least favorite. I'm not sure if Disney is going to run Marvel to the ground, but in any case, I know that Marvel is probably good for the next couple of months, at the least, before Disney fully gets its hooks in. I'm looking forward to the Deadpool/Spider-Man teamup issue in September.
