I liked Empire City more than the Mahattan of Prototype from what little I saw in the demo.

I have to wonder when sandbox games include the interiors of all the buildings. That would be the pinnacle of gaming imo.

Yesterday's Penny Arcade comic was about Prototype.

This explains everything pretty much perfectly.

You can curb stomp people. And bash their heads into a spray of blood. Impale them on massive spikes that burst from the ground. Slice everything up just for lolz. This game is god.

    Also: 89,684 civilian deaths. :awesome

I'm up to about 82,091 civvie deaths. Gamegasm? I think so.

IGN has given it pretty sad reviews, but I'm always inclined to ignore them in the face of such powerful awesome. SO. COOL. *proceeds to geek out*

Got it from Gamefly the other day. Fun game. The movement around the city drives me insane, there's a big delay on his movements doing certain things, and it can be easy to send Alex flying off a building.

I was about to bash my head in getting some of the landmarkers onto of the spires as well.

For those, it's best to get as high up as you can without flying off, then doing a full-charge jump.

You may be able to get them using a helicopter as well. I'm not sure.

I know the landmark under the bridge outright requires the helicopter.

The one that was giving me so much hell was the one, I think, is on top of what's supposed to resemble the Empire State building. Now that I've got the second jump upgrade I can probably get it.

Game was really easy for awhile, now these UAVs and roaming helo patrols are annoying the hell out of me.

The difficulty of this game fluctuates ridiculously, earlier missions are nigh impossible (the military base where you blow up the gastanks) but are followed on by some of the easiest missions in the game, only to be replaced with more nigh impossible missions.

Nevertheless, awesome game and insanely fun to just dick around in.

The best way to make the game seem really easy is to play medium after playing Hard. The difficulty jump is crazy.

I wind up GTAing around in this game. By that, I mean going and doing the side events, hunting for the markers and hints, and in general, just fucking around, instead of actually doing the main story.

Helicopters are alright, but they make wiping out hives super easy. And since the final sprint and jump upgrades it's goddamned harder then it should be to control Alex. He bounces around like a superball on a bungee cord.

Got stuck with a UAV somehow following me I couldn't target for quite awhile. VERY annoying.

Expect that to get worse and worse as the story goes on. A lot of the late-game missions aren't even really fun, while the dicking around is just always a blast.

Really. My favorite thing to do is to equip the shield and just run along the coast on the sidewalk. Knocking everyone out of my way.
