New in 1.0

• Completely revamped backend for major performance and file size enhancements
• Author ignore - removes author from Favorite Author and Search listing, and hides any stories by the author
• Automatic linking of DLP thread for a story, if it exists
• Ability to temporarily view (and unignore) ignored stories
• Combined Ignore and Unignore buttons on story list pages
• Option of moving Ignore/Unignore button to the right of the story name/author
• Fixed bug on author pages which did not have favorite story tabs
• Statusbar icon in bottom right which displays the number of ignored stories on the current page
• Preference window (Tools -> FFN Extender...) which contains preferences, ignore count, and author unignore

 

Well, this version pretty much fucked up everything. There is no ignore button on community and search pages. Fics which I ignored by standard searching aren't ignored on community pages. The only good thing is that it works faster than previous version. I asked my friend and it's the same for him. Tried reinstalling Firefox and addon itself, still the same. Has anyone got issues like that or maybe it's just me ? Anyway, I hope you will continue to work on this, great thing if works properly.

edit: Lol, I just looked at the addon page and it says that in version 0.9 ignore button on community pages was removed. Does that mean I was using old version ? Rotfl

 

I don't know about community or search, but I do know that crossover pages no longe are ignorable.

 

Damn, I can't use it on communities or search pages. This sucks.

 

Hmm. The only pages that work as of today are the Favorites pages.

Did Jangel or FFN update their software? ¯\(o_°)/¯

 

FFN. They changed something new, since my Stylish script developed glitches at the same time.

Did FF.Net do this on purpose? The must not want us ignoring their crappy stories.

 

Nah, FFnet have been recently very frequently been changing their site layout.

 

PLEASE tell me that you guys will be able to find a way around whatever it is that FF.net did.

 

Oh, I know. I wasn't saying "DO IT NOW!!!". It was a wailing, pleading, desperate cry looking for some assurance that at some point in the future I may once again ignore the horror that is slash.

Save me, Jangel. You gave me freedom from torment, and they (read: FFN) destroyed it.

 

So, just curious, how long until the new version that fixes whatever FF.net did is out? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "Give it to me NOW!" I'm just curious whether it will be out in a few months, years or never. A quick "I'm working on it." Would be enough to sooth my mind that I might someday be able to avoid the Hell that is slash fiction. Thanks in advance.

 

He's working on it. Now stfu and learn to use the 'X' button again.

 

Considering there has been little feedback besides, stuff happened... and this community is a tad interconnected... not unwise to ask for what the hell is going on that is screwing him up.

 

I'm hoping there will be some news as to the progress of the upgrade soon. Again, this is not a demand for an immediate upgrade, it's merely a request for some information about when we might be able to expect see it, be it next week or next yea.. um.. wait, next year is tomorrow, Ok then 'be it next week or 2011'. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
