I've always wondered why people did that. Shouldn't it go without saying that if you go into the Bleach Manga Thread, you should be ready to learn about what is happening in the manga?

As for the chapter, I enjoyed it. Shunsui was badass, and Stark's background story was better then most. No long, drawn out angst. It was short and sweet.

Aizen really shows what a bastard he is. Killing Halibel like that, in one slash. Well, I'm presuming that she''ll be dead.

And Since Starrk's gone too (presumably), I wonder what's gonna come next. Yammy is the only Espada left.

It's becoming rather obvious that Shinigami are the stronger beings.

I still wonder about what Hitsu said, though - that if Aizen somehow managed to gather ten Vasto Lordes, Soul Society would be over. That Vasto Lordes' battle capabilities are far above that of a captain. However, Barragan was the KING of Hueco Mundo... yeah, are there any stronger hollows around? And are they available to Aizen?

Eh, too much speculation. But I did enjoy this chapter alot, and am definitely looking forward to the next one.

The sense I always got was that their 'pure' power was sealed in exchange for more versatility and no longer having to consume souls or whatever for constant energy. And you gotta admit, most of the Captains were just a bit more powerful then their Arrancar counterparts. If Aizen and co. had got involved earlier the fight would easily have gone the other way.

 

There was a flashback with Nnoitra and Nel where they had a mission to locate Vasto Lorde. As far as I remember - it was never mentioned that Aizen ever succeeded in locating one.

I have a feeling Halibel isn't dead. Bleach lacks permanent deaths unlike Naruto. It's more temporarily down for the count but the fish will heal her or something.

Hiyori got chopped-chopped pretty easy by Gin; merciless villains are awesome.
I kind of want to see most of them die just right before Ichigo comes so that he can go Psycho-Super-Devil-thingy Ichigo again.

Looks like Ichigo's upgrade got him a nice new mask, and he slaps giant-Yammy around a little. That's about it.

Aside - Could Aizen be a Vasto Lorde? He's got that damn sword that can hypnotize all the senses and lets him control what others see, hear, touch etc. Does seem a little too much but...

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Aizen fused himself with some Hollow matter, but i'm pretty sure hes originally a Shinigami (even though we have practically zero back story on him, it's one of the more interesting things that I'm looking forward to).

Is it just me, but being both an avid follower of Naruto and Bleach, it's pretty apparent that while Naruto is steadily declining in quality and subject matter, Bleach is only getting better with every chapter; the past few chapters have really been great buildup IMO for the Aizen vs Shinigami fight.

 

Fixed that for you. Aizen wins. Always. Even when it appears he's lost.

I'm a little disheartened that all Ichigo is getting is a new mask, kinda hoped he'd keep his badass hollow form even if he is completely out of control when he uses it.

 

I may be mistaken(though I really doubt it) but the new chapter seems to answer the question of just what the form was.

 

Wow.. guess Tosen got blended a bit farther then Vizard.

 

It's really annoying that almost every fight either has two opponents with similar zanpakuto powers or the good guy having a zanpakuto that is the perfect counter to his opponents' shikai/bankai.

 

Why is it that manga writers always feel like pulling some random shit like this out of their ego filled asses? Here we thought there were some established concepts like the distinction between Vizards and Arrancar...and now this...

 

Only because Bleach was worse to start off with.
