Ferret/Weasel would also put you out of commission within a chapter or two of most indy!Harry fics. Bat-bogey hex might take a little longer due to the requirement of a quasi-appropriate situation, but it wouldn't take too long either.

How about situtations as opposed to words? Harry flinching when anyone other than (or even, if you like) Voldemort telling him he'll hurt him if he hurts their daughter/sister/friend?

 

Every time it mentions 'Harry' in any story that doesn't have Harry as one of the characters. Hermione/Weasley twin is a good example.

 

Denarian Series. Every time an innuendo occurs.

You'll be dead about midway through Renegade. You probably wouldn't make it to chapter 3 if you tried it on Lord.

Go read an old Azkaban fic and drink everytime you read "betray" or any of its derivatives.

More realistic challenge, read a summer fic and drink every time Vernon/Petunia says "Boy!"

Or any time the Dursleys use a euphemism for anything related to magic.

 

I drink that Hermione goes to bed with someone within a drop of a hat and Ginbrat and Malbrat calling each other "Weaslette" and "Ferret" in those cliche driven fanfics.

Drink also when Voldemort makes ridiculosly long speeches that not only wastes the readers and the characters time, but makes him look like an idiot. *laughs*

For fanfics, try any attempted humorous take on Voldemort's name a la "Voldesnort"

 

For FF, drink everytime Ron's appetite is mentioned

Why do authors feel the need to point this out every other instance in which Ron is mentioned?

 

Got to agree with the general idea though. HBP was a Hermione parody throughout.

If you want to not get drunk at all, you could drink every time you read the name 'Harry Potter' in A Second Chance at Life.
