You don't need a log-in to lurk. I joined only recently... much the same as my FFnet account.

 

lurk does not neccessarily mean registered user. At the bottom with online users, I'm pretty sure there's like 60 guests. (at time of writing)

To me DLP's "mission" if you will isnt to point out to authors that they are not as great as they think they are. It's more to say here are some stories that we like/found. We hope you enjoy them too. And the WbA section is for those who want to write to be judged (though more leniently) by the same standards.

As for jbern...

I like his stuff. Its not bad, it's not the greatest in the whole wide web, to me its good, to others... not so much.

And they have their opinion. I have mine. Though their opinions might influence mine its still up to me to decide.

Everyone is entitled to take their shot at me. Litany of Hate exists to take abuse and dish it out. I don't mind at all.

I feel I'm fair and justified in going after bad fics when they receive reviews which are absolutely glowing (i.e. "OMG! UR MY NEW GOD!") and no one seems to be able to tell them how terrible they are. I keep my review records public. I defy you to read some of those stories and not privately think the same things I make public.

If you want to cry for their hurt feelings go right ahead. Me? I'm gonna keep the flames stoked...

 

Too much unused hate floating around this place, we've started to turn on each other.

This thread is just proof that we need to go back to fucking with newbs and their intros.

 

Someone posted the question in IRC today whether or not a forum can regulate itself or if mods and banhammer are needed.
