Wow, what the fuck was the point of showing Kisame about to fight Killer Bee if Kishimoto's just going to leave them immediately next chapter anyways?

 

A slightly off-topic query I had was about Naruto not knowing about his parents.
Now, I've read in countless number of fanfics that because Yondaime had a lot of enemies, the fact was kept secret for Naruto's own safety.

Now consider a similar scenario of Konohamaru. He's the grandson of the third, a situation similar to that of Naruto. I would also imagine that the third Hokage had even more enemies than the fourth. Both Naruto and Konohamaru are in similar kinds of danger because of their parentage, both under the protection of the third, i.e. in Konoha.

So why was Naruto not told of his parentage? Mayhap his condition in Konoha would have improved? Something like Killer-bee perhaps? A protector of the village who is somewhat respected...

Also on another note, is it confirmed in the manga about what happened to Kushina? Did she die at childbirth or is it a fanon concept?

 

Well, canon isn't really perfect and there's also a lot of stuff to consider.

First off, the situation differs in that the Third was still alive as well as Asuma who was one of the twelve guardians of fire. Kidnapping Konohamaru = potential retribution from both with very little gain.
To be honest, the prospect of harming or abducting Konohamaru really isn't worth the hassle also there's the fact that the Sandaime's probably outlived most of his staunchest enemies.

Then there's:

1) The Yondaime on the other hand inspired more fear and by extension jealousy and contempt. More to the point he did it more recently. His exploits should still be fresh in the mind of quite a few shinobi (Kumo, Iwa or otherwise). He single-handedly routed a nation, he embarrassed them and damaged their reputation and he killed a lot of their ninja personally. He's likely to have far more living enemies.

2) Having Naruto publicly known as the Yondaime's son would have drawn a lot of attention to him and not just from would be assassins. Anyone looking into the progeny of the Yondaime would undoubtedly have discovered he's also a jinchuuriki. It would be easy information to get considering every adult in Konoha knows so you wouldn't even need well placed spies like Kabuto. Naruto being jinchuuriki of the strongest Bijuu and having the genes of the man who many regard as the strongest ninja in recent memory would make him a prime target for abduction. Anyone could see his potential as a weapon.

3) I think the Sandaime (using some Dumbledore-esque logic) probably also didn't want Naruto to know until he could properly understand to keep him from resenting his father and resenting Konoha for some of the people shirking his/his father's sacrifice. Naruto knows sacrifice now and he knows what he'd be willing to do for his loved ones and for Konoha, it makes his father sacrificing him a less bitter pill to swallow.

That's what i think anyways but I'm sure Kishimoto had other reasons.

 

If the spoilers are true, everyone who's ever followed this manga is going to have a cow. And then they'll shit bricks.

I've never seen it where the female lead confesses to the protagonist. Not even in the shounen that end. I've never seen the protagonist reject it either (lol yaoi fangirls rejoice). It's painful to read, too. It's really, really bad fanfiction. Also, expect mass suicide from Hinata fans.

Hopefully, this is signifying the end of the manga.

 

Because unlike Konohamaru, his Hokage wasn't battling the Shinigami for all of eternity in his stomach. Konohamaru's Grandfather was still a badass when he croaked, taking down Orochimaru and his two predecessors. And that was a "miserable, pathetic shadow of his former self" You don't fuck with the God of all Shinobi, dood.

 

Still, gotta wonder what would have happened if Orochimaru succeeded in reviving the Yondaime. He'd have arguably the strongest ninja ever at his beck and call, he'd be practically unstoppable. Then again, woudl the Edo Tensei even be able to summon his soul from the Shinigami's belly, considering it's not really the afterlife as they know it.

 

I don't think he would have done it. In the case of Shodai and Nidaime, he had two humans (Kin and Zaku) to exchange for the use of the two brothers.

Which makes me wonder, who the hell was the 3rd human for the jutsu?

Edit: And why in the hell didn't he do it on Kimimaro after the time-skip or any of the Sound Five?

 

Did anyone else laugh their ass off at Sakura getting rejected?

Maybe Hinata fans are near suicide but I don't honestly see Naruto/Sakura ever happening now.

I think it's fairly obvious from the chapter that Sakura is lying (to herself and Naruto) about her feelings for Naruto and Sasuke. She's either A. Trying to protect Naruto and/or Sasuke after seeing how strong they both are, or B. Is afraid of losing Naruto to Hinata.

Naruto, who has always been far more perceptive in interpersonal relations than given credit, saw straight through her crap and is about to say it how it is. This is very likely the moment where Naruto/Sakura keels over and dies. Naruto knows that Sakura will never love anyone but Sasuke and he will tell her so.

 

We can but hope.

 

Hm. According to the Raikage, Oonoki of the dual scales(tsuchikage), has experience in battle againest Uchiha Madara. Seems like things will get interesting.

 

Eh, I suppose that answers my query quite well.

As for the ch. 469, is it just me or does Naruto's face look younger than the previous chapters? Is this some kinda weird effort to seperate the Yondaime and Naruto?

Also, the translator at one-manga seems to be a bit of a Sakura fan...subtle differences in translation are :awesome
