No...not Harry/Luna or Harry/FemaleHarry. If you take a look at Amerision's Temptations of a Dark Soul, you'll get an idea of what it is I want. Basically, I'm looking for a Harry/OC pairing that has some weird history behind it. Whether it is a siren, succubus, greek goddess, or in Amerision's case, a symbiote (everytime I read that word I get an image of black Spiderman...how lame), it is all good. If you have a better way to describe it other than "weird" be my guest...

Keep in mind, though, that I'm not looking for Mary Sues and its does not necessarily have to be Light-sided. An example would be C.K. Talons's The Human Condition.

On a related note, if you find any good responses to Seven Queens of Darkness, Seven Queens of Light challenge by jon, feel free to include them here, with the exception of Thalarian's response. I have already read that fic.

I am, once again, looking for a good read so all stories must:

-NOT HAVE SLASH! Period. End of story.

-not be either Amerision's Temptations of a Dark Soul, C.K Talons' The Human Condition or Thalarian's Queens of Darkness, Ladies of Light. Yes...these are excellent stories and I highly recommend them to those who haven't read them but I already have them read and saved in my growing, private, electronic library of Harry Potter fanfictions.

-not Harry/Luna or any other character that has been introduced to the story by Rowling. Tinn Tam's Song of the Trees falls under this category as does Harry/Daphne, Harry/Blaise, Harry/Katie, etc. I like the idea of introducing a fresh character to the Harry Potter world, not a rewrite of an old character. While I do realize that most of these characters had not been properly introduced, it's still not the same as an original character.

-not a crossover. I have no intention of reading about Harry and some elf from Middle Earth getting it on. These worlds are to remain separate for eternity.

-smut.* It is a part of life. You can't honestly expect Harry to hook up with a hot greek goddess and not have sex....

-not a vampire story. I have read enough of those for now.

-not change Harry's history. Harry is Harry. His personal life story must not change. I don't want to read page after page describing how he is the descendant from Slytherin, or Ravenclaw and Gryffindor who were elven kings. Harry is a wizard and must stay a wizard who just happens to get powerful women in bed with him. That being said, Harry's name must also stay as Harry, not Wolf or some other desecration.

-50K+ words. Enough said.

-good grammar and reasonable legibility. If it's not spaced correctly, don't bother.

-Not one-shots. It's okay if the story has one chapter but as long as the author had planned for more before it was abandoned. It must still meet 50k words. But still, with Thalarian's QoD as an exception which was two chapters, I doubt that there are any others out there like that.

-last but not least, a good read. Recommend only if you have read it before and think that it is decent.

*Although I prefer stories that include smut, I do not want stories that are smut. It's called porn and that I can find online in a much better form called motion pictures.

Okay, I had to think on this one for a bit, but I recall one that's close to satisfying your desiderata. It's dated, started in 2001, and you'll have to get past how the OC is a Mary Sue (she even shares her name with the author's nom de guerre):

Sins of the Father by Talia of Eragon. It's essentially Harry Potter crossed over with a fantasy world of the author's invention, so it's not your average crossover. It's not an especially good read (quite tedious in places, in fact), particularly when compared with Amerision's stories and it's not DLP material, but it is complete and different. Clocks in at about 120k words.
