Both the episodes, the unaired pilot and episode 13, are amazing. The original pilot is so very superior to the first couple of episodes, it makes me angry at their intervention all over again. And BigD encapsulated what the 13th episode does.

'Twas awesome. Though I had trouble remembering all the shit that happened in the last 2 episodes of season 1.
I didn't even remember that Whisky knew she was a doll.

And, I was expecting Summer Glau to show up during the whole thing. :/

Actually, I thought the end of the episode was her leaving for real...
Glad she'll be in at least a few more episodes.

Now I want moar, with Glau in it !

    Frak. 2.56 million viewers.

...Okay, hopefully the sheer awesomeness of the first episode will pollinate far and wide and get a better second episode rating.

That's all the people that watched the episode? That's pretty darn abysmal. Still, I think that most people don't mind catching the episode online.

I forgot all of the plot from the last season (including Alpha) but it wasn't hard to follow. The small flashbacks helped greatly. I thought it was solid episode, but I still prefer every character besides Echo, like Victor.

Fox did such a piss-poor job of advertising this season holy crap. I didn't even know it was back 'til I saw it on Hulu.

Yeah, I saw maybe one Dollhouse advertisement, and it was lumped in with other fox premieres. I would have missed it if I wasn't so anal about catching all the premieres these last few weeks.

Good episode. I really should try to catch it live to increase the ratings, even if its just by one, but watching without commercials is just to much to give up.

Fox must be trying to purposefully give this poor program bad ratings...I didn't see ANY indication that they gave Dollhouse a second season. (Mind you, I was too busy to look TOO hard...They still should have put some effort into it.)

TL;DR: Way to go Fox, way to go.

How would you do that? Do they use some futuristic technology to dtermine viewer numbers in the US?
Here they just put a device into a few thousand representative homes that records the viewing habits.
So if you are not among those, you won't increase the ratings.

lol, I've got to admit I never really looked at how TV stations recorded how many viewers they had. I just assumed they had a way of telling how many people were receiving a signal from a station some how.

You'd think in the 21st century they'd of found something a little more accurate than what there doing now.

Well for the DVR stuff, they get pretty accurate numbers from those services (at least who recorded it, not necessarily watched it). But in general the Nielsen ratings are supposed to be accurate - my family actually had ages and ages ago, and we were supposed to record all the exact times we watched and everything. Nowadays if you are selected and agree to it, they just plug something in to your cable or TV that just records what you watch.

Anyone enjoy that episode as much as I did?

Just a filler, but one of the most entertaining, in my opinion.

Yes, it was a good episode. Dollhouse has been an "eh" show for me thus far -- something to watch because there is nothing better on Friday nights. It's starting to grow on me, though, which is unfortunate since I think it has a snowball's chance of getting a third season.

Yeah. Not really filler if you've seen Epitaph One:
The long range wiping that we see in this episode is a big thing in Epitaph One...

And Victor acting as a floozy college girl was fucking lulzy. That actor is great with different personalities: Russian, Reed Diamond...

    Erm... My house?
I hear that Dollhouse has been canceled. More's the pity as it's the only show I watch (via Hulu. I don't have a TV).

Anyway, found a petition that started over on the Fox website trying to save it. There probably has to be a bigger one out there but I didn't see it.

Here's a link. Only 200 signatures but I think it only started a few days ago.

Seems there is another petition with about 5x the number of signers

I see what you did there.

The cancellation's no big surprise when one sees the ratings season 2 got, tbh. I'm just hoping the hasty conclusion of the show won't be too lame.
