I already wrote that Billy took off with Georgia in the back of the ambulance. Continuity, brah. Continuity. I'm not understanding the Denarian bit, Lucis. It ignored Dresden and charged toward the crowd, why? I'm trying to think of a good reason and I'm drawing a blank.

That's easy. Someone wanted to make sure Summer breaks the treaty. The Denarian couldn't attack Harry, but he could easily provoke Harry into attacking him. All it cost the Fallen was a single host.

Water Mage: I can't believe I missed Billy leaving. Especially ironic because I was trying to smooth some plot holes with this chapter. I'll edit and fix it.

The Denarian didn't attack Harry because of the treaty. Someone else pointed it towards the crowd there, in the hope that Harry would attack it and break the treaty. (This is all IMHO, as there are many other authors who can play around with this.)

EDIT: I just rewrote the beginning to fix that hole.

DarkAizen: I agree that Bob probably was too helpful. In my defence though, he is getting to ride in the body of the Summer Lady and is apparently very happy about it. At the end, he was also very relieved to be away from the Denarian.

Updated. Shezza was kind enough to take my place as I am swamped with work. I am sure no one will be disappointed. The direction of the set up should be obvious :D.

I won't be available for the next 4 weeks. Deadlines. So take me off the list till then.

    and enjoy the Snuheeza production.

Shezza posted. Shezza posted. Shezza posted. That's just awesome! You just made my day, Shezza, N.

And now Maeve is getting involved. This has the potential to be very interesting...

    I'd totally write something.

But I'm clearly too elite and up myself to lower myself to writing with some of you fine authors. :awesome

Bad news again, apparently I've not got a cold, I've got swine flu. So I'm unlikely to be in any shape to write anything for the immediate future. If you want to bump me down again I can deal with that but I'd recommend just throwing me out entirely so that the order stops changing every other week.

Aekiel: I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you get better soon. I'd hate to knock you off the list, so I've instead moved you to the end of the queue. Based on historical trends, it will take about twelve days to get there, by which time you'll hopefully be feeling better.

Jon: Would it help if you could preface your post with a line about how much better than all of us you are? eg. "The Turn of Jon (most elite person here):" or "The Turn of Jon who is the most elite person here:". /sarcasm though if that will get you to post...

Since I haven't really been enforcing deadlines very tightly, I'm a little hesitant to start out of the blue. Mainly in case someone already started working on their post and didn't post to the thread. It's happened several times where people wrote something and only posted on this thread when they posted their contribution. In the future, please don't do this...

Big D: Because of the above, I'm going to wait another 24 hours for you to post whether your writing... But after that, I'm going to assume you aren't and move on to the next person...

I swear you could single-handedly suck the fun out of a horde of drunken monkeys at a birthday party.

Shockingly enough, my schedule doesn't match up perfectly with yours. However, I have started on my part, so you can climb down off the ceiling. I probably won't get it out today, but it will be sometime in the next 24 hours.

    I'm sorry to hear that.

And I'm not asking it to.

Neither was I asking you to post it today. I was asking you to confirm whether you were working on it today.

(Hm... just noticed grammar mistake, oh well.)

Please try to look at this from my perspective: If someone is too busy or doesn't notice that it's their turn, I eventually need to move on. But if they have started and just haven't posted that they have started it won't be nice for them for me to move on (or at least, I personally wouldn't enjoy it...).

I'm trying to organise this in a way that is fair for everyone. As I previously said, if someone else would like to do this, they're welcome to. Or if you have a suggestion on how I could manage this better, I'd be happy to hear it. I'm not being facetious.

I hope that I don't come across as angry in my response (my goal is to clarify), and I'm sorry that you interpreted my previous response as an attempt to push you into my schedule.

Thank god someone said that... I've wanted to for days now, but this is not my thread, so I didn't want to troll.

@lucis - It's not the anger. It's the total seriousness. Chill.

Ah, I see.... I'll admit right now that I'm socially inept, at least outside a formal situation. I'm basically applying what I know about FOSS project organisation to this. The problem is that the work can't be parallelised in this...

And I'm probably being to serious again... er... yeah...

I'll try. Perhaps interspersing random smilies and jokes will help? (That was a joke, in a rather weird way.)

Lucis, the 24 hour limit we agreed to is not working out. Let's change that rule. Instead when one person has had his turn, the next person can post a line in the thread saying "I'm up." Then everyone knows the baton has been passed and we will see an update as soon as it's possible for that writer.

This might harm the pace of updates but with the 24 hour deadline pressure this project is just going to die.

That said, I agree that we need rules just to keep this going, but maybe need to be relaxed about it more. Let's see how it goes trying it the new way.

And people who know they are up, just post a line to say you know you're up. That should make it easier.

@Left nut and right nut: just shut up.

Sounds good, N. So, I'll just post the queue periodically so that people can know when they're coming up.
