The duel between Amanda and Bellatrix - :awesome and

I wonder why Bellatrix does not know what the sword that Amanda is carrying represent?

After all, as Snape said (2nd chapter of The Denarian Lord), Voldemort is informing his followers of what Harry is, so he should also inform them of the Knights.

IMO, it would be better if Bellatrix knew what Amanda is and comment on that in her P.O.V.

Even if she knew, she probably wouldn't know about the luck.

I hope that Dumbledore doesn't die, because I can't imagine Harry finding the last two Horcruxes all by himself. Well, that, and he's the best characterization of AD I've ever read.

Only a few problems that I could see.

    Should be lift.

    skillful.

"ever before in her life" seems a little redundant. If she's never encountered someone as lucky Amanda ever before, then I think it is safe to say that she has never in her life either. Simply "ever before" would work, or maybe "before in her entire life."

    Were.

    Mudblood's

    Maybe you meant blood...

Beside those things, there was a weird color change in the font were Amanda says “Sopordormius!”

What happened to McGonagall and the bunch of Death Eaters? They were there at the end of last scene but now you didn't even mention them.

They are probably locked in their own battle, but you should at least mention that they got separated. Now it was just a too abrupt transition.

Personally, I'd rather just focus on Harry, Amanda and Dumbledore. I don't want to read about a gajillion little duels.

And w00t to non-antagonistic dialogue between Harry and Amanda!

Agreed. At this point forget about all the little duels that are going on. If Shezza focused on them we could expect another trilogy before it was ended. Dumbledore, Amanda, Voldemort, and Harry are the only people who really matter at this point. They will decide how this ends.

It's not about the thousand little duels. It's about McGonagall's reaction to Amanda's capacity. She clearly wasn't aware of what Amanda is. Now she is.

While I don't want to see every duel, I want to see McGonagall's reaction to what Amanda has become, and to really see Harry prove what he is, to her.

Its these kinda little things that I really love about fics.

Fuck you, for this cliffhanger! I hope this is just a ploy of Harry's to get Dumbledore out of there in a relatively safe manner.

^ This. I was on the verge of jumping up and down on my seat like a fanboy when Harry interrupted the duel.

Hell, who am I kidding, most of us are Shezza fanboys.

"As" would fit better I think.

Anyway, longtime since I've made a review, but DAMN. That cliffhanger is going to drive me crazy.

Shezza's going to post the rest of the chapter at 5~ pm EST today, maybe earlier than that.

He couldn't make us wait to see the resolution of that.

    Orgasmic, btw.

Evil cliffhanger is evil. As always EPIC.

I liked that Harry still has some morals.

I hope that it will be something original and not so lame as in Deathly Hallows.

I dunno, I found the whole Harry attacking Dumbledore thing a bit weak.

I mean for Harry to do it for real would be the epitome of stupidity. There is still much Dumbledore could teach Harry afterall, not to mention that Harry still needs Dumbledores political protection now that the whole Denarian thing is out. For Harry to actually kill Dumbledore for real simply because Dumbledore lost to Voldemort would be utterly braindead. Not to mention inconsistent with the fact that Harry has always seemed to like Dumbledore. Not to mention that something much like this happened before in the ministry.

Infact it would be so braindead that I doubt thats what happened. I expect Harry heard about Dumbledore reading Voldemorts mind and is trying to fake his death so Voldemort wont realise the horcruxes are compromised. Verrine will catch Dumbledore or something like that. Or maybe Amanda. And Voldemort will think Harry killed Dumbledore for being "weak" and wont check the horcruxes thinking that the info died with Dumbledore. Thats my guess anyway.

The trouble is that that would mean that its Voldemort who is a braindead moron rather than Harry. Given how closely related Harry&Dumbledore have been, Voldemort would have to be a complete imbecile not to realise that Harry faked it.

So unless Shezza has something totally unexpected planned, I worry that we will either get a idiot!Harry or idiot!Voldemort. I hope not.

Eh, I disagree with you there. From Voldemort's perspective Harry did the logical and expected from a Denarian Lord thing. We as readers know Dumbledore/Harry relationship, but for Voldemort facts are:

    1. Harry Potter is hosting an evil demonic entity.
    2. Harry Potter craves magical power.
    3. Harry Potter is ruthless and willing to kill.
    4. Harry Potter was not powerful enough to match him at the duel near Harry's former apartment.
    5. Voldemort and Dumbledore know that there is a Prophecy about Dark Lord's possible match.
    6. Harry Potter learns more magic from Dumbledore in order to challenge the Dark Lord and to quench his thirst for magical power.
    7. Dumbledore teaching more magic to Harry Potter in order for his weapon to be powerful enough to kill the Dark Lord.
    8. Dumbledore is not a match for the Dark Lord.
    9. Denarian Lord Harry Potter kills weakened and battered to the point of exhaustion Dumbledore as he is no longer useful to him as a resource, knows too much about Harry Potter, and the moment to strike is just too good to pass up.

I think Voldemort considers Harry Potter's mentality similar to his own and that is what he would have done in similar circumstances. Of course, he can't comprehend that a bond could have been forged between Dumbledore who believes in kindness, goodness and love and demonic Harry Potter, who "submerged himself in the Darkest magics of Hell".

From our perspective, it's obvious that Harry wouldn't kill Dumbledore. I can completely believe Voldemort falling for it. Harry is good enough with charms to make a very convincing fake.

My thoughts exactly. Voldemort never puts himself in someone else's suoes. He assumes every thinks the same way he does.
