I find it odd that everyone has an exercise outfit.
What were the priorities when they were evacuating that planet?

How did Sergeant Spencer manage to hide the fact that he had that large water container and an entire backpack of rations? Why dont they just keep that guy locked up? Its clear that he is a loose cannon. He attacks people and tried to lead a revolt against Young.

Is Colonel Young having an affair with T.J.?

I'm fairly sure that he already did and he isn't anymore. If you remember in the beginning how he and his wife were having serious trouble and TJ was going to resign, I'm fairly certain that's what all of that was. He slept with her and his wife busted them and TJ couldn't handle it so she was going to resign until the Icarus thing happened.

The high point was when Young beat the shit out of Telford.

Also, wtf? Why do we care that Scott's previous girlfriend didn't really get rid of the kid? Is the kid going to like...save everyone on Destiny?

I think Sgt. Spencer has taken top hate spot from Rush. He could redeem himself by killing Rush, and then getting killed by Eli.

Hey, at least the next episode looks sort-of decent. Offworld trips and murder trials! All in one episode, two weeks from now.

And the first episode coming back from the mid-season break has an alien ship battle!

I enjoyed the Flogging Molly... that was about it.

The Scott-Kid-What-The-Fuck-Ever piece, was unneeded drama.

As opposed to the highly appropriate, and awesome Telford/Young Beat-Down Drama.

I'm curious how this will play out. They are both Colonels, Telford was in the moral wrong, but Young initiated the fight. They will more then likely give Telford a slap on the wrist, ban him from sitting in the Stone Chair, give Young a chastising, and be done with it. Or, if we are in luck, Young will continue blossoming a pair of balls, and fix his Telford problem for good.

Addition: I like to think that when Young was charging Telford, and Telford had the Stone-Connection cut... the Marine that Young was in, continued his momentum forward and took Telford right through that double-french door right behind him. haha!

Rush continuing to be a Survivalist (aka Pussy), about random Ancient Technology. I'm rather surprised in Rush's blatant decision not to sit in the chair, but give another person to gain knowledge that he won't have access to. Perhaps he simply feels after someone tests it out, he'll have a seat himself and get the info once it's safe.

Did anyone catch Rush's crack when Young was yelling at him after they found out he had implanted fake data about the Icarus-type Planet? For like, a second, he smiled and looked like he was laughing. Not sure.

I did really enjoy Eli hammering Scott about his kid. It was very subtle way of trying to push the competition for Chloe out of the way, by reminding him of his paternal obligations. It was slick on Eli's part... even if the kid is going to get a major let down when Chloe continues to be a stupid slut.

Larger question: Did they just ignore the "Time" episode? I mean... the ended "Time" as a cliff-hanger with Scotts message to the past... but they didn't expand. Is it just being assumed they got the message, they jumped the critters while they were asleep, and everyone is cured? If so, what a fucking cheap idea.

It's sort of finished off in one of the Kino webisodes. Eli and Scott just say thanks to 'past-Scott' for saving them. Either way, I preferred Time's ending as it was. Another loop would just have been repetitive and this way they ended the episode with a dark moment to remind everyone that SGU is meant to be 'edgy' and all that.

This episode sucked over all. The only worthwhile part was them using the 'Asian woman sexual minx' stereotype.

Oh well, no more till April 2010.

This episode was fun. It makes sense that they are not alone out there.

Also has anyone seen the Kino webisodes. I usally dont watch those but some are pretty funny. And Lt. James takes her shirt off in the 12th webisode.
Also, the After effects of Time.

The Kinosodes are pretty funny. My favourite has to be the one where a room of scientists bicker about naming something.

And yeah, Justice was fun. Sets up a potential enemy/friend with the alien ship. And shows that Young is totally fucking psychotic when he wants to be - but he's pretty awesome apart from that.

Is it bad that I happen to agree with Rush on most things?

Also: I hope Rush comes back and does something awesome. :(

Rush is right on most things. Maybe goes about things the wrong way, but generally he's right.

There is a alien spaceship right there. He will use it to his advantage.

I think a better question might be, is it wrong that the only thing I've been disappointed with Rush over is the fact that he got caught?

At the end there, that convosation with Eli and Young... so Eli saw Rush in the recording and told Young about it? And Young was telling Eli to put it on the USB and delete it from his harddrive?

Pretty much, I suppose that would be as good as time as any to go batshit insane. Hopefully that happens. Though I wonder how Rush is going to play this one, alien ship and/or civilization or not, Destiny is still his obsession.

Well, the real question is how is Rush going to catch up to Destiny?
As far as we know FTL is only present on one ship in the universe. The Asgard never were able to make it and they were around for over a million years(I think). And the Ancients never made more than one. Hell, the Ori who were Ancients never made any.

So even if Rush can fiqure out how the ship works, and somehow learn the location of Destiny and the route its taking, he would still need a fast ship to catch up. Granted the reqular stop Destiny maake might help but those are only 12 hours and back to FTL(fastest method of travel next to wormholes).

I think Rush is going to get some help to get back, though not the kind of help you'd really want.

There are rumblings that the next episode, Space, has him and several other on the Destiny crew captured by the aliens who made that downed shuttle on the Rocky Road Planet, and had that bug pod at the end of Air, Part 3. Whatever's done to rescue those captured guys will probably include Rush as well... Then Young will get called out on his lie.

There's FTL (which I think you must be confusing it with something else)... and there's Hyperspace. Those aliens may as well have developed some Hyperspace technology.

Good episode, but the pace is still too slow.

Wouldn't hyperspace and FTL be about the same speed anyways?
