^Well, sort of.

The Colt needs to kill the host to kill the possessor. This was seen in the episode where the yellow eyed demon (Azazel?) took possession of John Winchester. He was shot in the leg with the Colt, but it didn't kill the Demon like the knife does. A Colt shot isn't an auto-kill.

It needs to be fatal for both through contemporary means (headshot, etc).

As for the show... it's so win. I spent the last two weeks watching all five season up to now back to back, barely sleeping.

 

I missed a few episodes from the earlier seasons, so I might be wrong, but doesn't the Colt also need special bullets to kill things? Dean used the last bullet to shoot Azazel in the head, and John mentioned that the gun itself was useless without the special-mojo bullets. So did the brothers find a way to make the bullets?

 

Ruby found a way to make it work without the special bullets, or else helped them make new ones.

 

That was from early season three if I remember correctly. Also, I know neither Ruby could act, but I definitely like the blond better than the brunette. She had better attitude. The brunette always sounded like she was slurring her words - tongue ring maybe?

 

Just watched episode 9. Incredibly lulzy how Becky keeps shooting Chuck down in favor of Sam. Poor man, only fangirl he has is a total slasher for Sam, has no skills (lol, writers), and has a terminal case of shyness before crowds. Sad that he does finally get her.

But I have to admit that Lucifer was awesome. He actually made me laugh out loud a few times. And Crowley was great too. I hope we see him again.

In 6 months in Detroit. Oddly specific, and am I the only one who doubts Lucifer's Vessel will last that long?

Nah. Death is totally going to have a WTF color like yellow or something? And if they're sticking with the Neil Gaiman/Good Omens vibe then Death should be a girl. Or something like Pratchett's Death.

 

It never ceases to amaze me how this show can go from monster-a-week episodes to humorous monster-of-the-week episodes to angsty mythology episodes to episodes that make fun of the show's fandom... It's all over the place, yet it totally feels... right!

We had probably one of the most self-referential episodes of a TV drama ever with last week's ep, then we get to tonight's tour de force, with a title that seemed appropriate.

Jo dead, Ellen dead, Bobby still in a wheelchair, Death riding out with a pale horse, Cas losing his powers, Lucifer basically indestructible... jeez! Abandon All Hope, all right!

But still, they're probably going to have a zany episode after the hiatus... I predict body-swapping!

Oh, and Crowley was awesome.

Repeats of the series will air weekdays at 10:00 AM ET beginning with the pilot episode on Monday, January 4. Subsequent installments will follow in their original broadcast order as follows:

TNT has just gotten the rights to run repeats of Supernatural starting in January which I found fairly awesome.
