Can't wait for the rest of it. Seemed though, to me, slightly frustrating to see Voldemort back up to full power deflecting spells so quickly. Would have been better, imho, to just insinuate it took some effort to deflect Dumbledore's spell. Nothing that shows he's beatable in his current condition, but it just felt a bit D: to have him apparantly still taking names while Harry was dead and Dumbledore was cripply

Otherwise, amazing update as always, although I'm quite sad that the rocks falling wasn't the actual ending.

But really, the only thing I didn't like was Harry dying before Voldemort, because I thought they were both going down.

And I don't want Amanda-bitch to kill Voldemort. That's Meciel's business

Otherwise... Well, I loved the chapter. I suspect that Dumbledore will sacrifice himself to save Harry. That would fit in an interesting way to my theory...

I only reread the last bit for errors, so I probably missed a bunch....

 

No Lucis, he means Dumbledore.

Harry was his last hope, if Harry is dead then as far as Voldemort knows, there are no more challenges left to his power.

 

Well if Amaris or Verrine have a part left in this fic.

I will laugh pretty hard if Amanda kills Voldemort. She'll have defeated two of Harry's greatest enemies. Maybe he can make it look like she killed him so she takes the fame and not him? That would probably be best.

You know, to this day I don't see what's so likeable about Amanda. Sure, she's a Knight, Harry's love interest (as much as there can be one), but I just can't connect to her as a character as I can with many of the others.

 

Lol! Are you actually serious? You can connect to a demon-possessed murderer, an immortal Fallen Angel, a bunch of half-crazy inhuman faeries, a psychotic Dark wizard with dreams of world domination, and over a hundred years old dude, but somehow cannot connect to a teenager?

 

To be fair, teenage girls are probably the single most mind-boggling creature to have ever existed.

 

Why doesn't Harry have his Bone Wyrm form back? He doesn't have the Sword of the Cross anymore. I want to see him turn into a Bone Wyrm and eat those 15 Death Eaters before smacking Voldemort around before Voldemort realizes what's going on.

 

In a fantasy story which goes far beyond it's original foundations in Canon? Definitly. I can understand where most of them are coming from, but Amanda's presence is rather unsettling...

Well, that and I'm still waiting for her to squeal over Twilight.

 

Fuck it I know I'll get shit over this but Shezza if you are anything close to not being the trap many say you are don't do this. One was bad enough, two would be the kind of bad I never thought could possibly be associated with anything you wrote.

I'm with Hashasheen in that I just can't really connect with Amanda, I know others liked it but I hated Amanda being the one to finish Maeve and I would hate it so much more if she finishes Voldemort of all people.

 

I say reverse it. The revelation of Harry being alive should come later, as a twist. Right now, there is no dramatic tension as to Harry's condition during the Albus Voldemort conversation.

 

Bone Wyrm form was burned out of him by the sword of the cross.

He can no longer transform, and I am not even sure if he has wings anymore, now that he has cut at least one of them off.

 

He can regrow his fingers, how come he can't regrow a wing?

I always assumed that the Bone Wrym form was growing more and more inferior in comparison to his magical skill and that was why he didn't use it.

And I agree with what Chuck said - there could be more words devoted to Amanda and Dumbledore's reactions. It doesn't have to be too sparse, otherwise it won't be effective enough.

I think it was initially introduced as a plot device because an Ultimate!Animagus form is a horrible idea.

 

Not to delve too much into intense critique of a fanfic, but the Wyrm form was also interesting as a symbol of Harry slowly setting aside the ruthlessness of the other Denarians - lost most of it with the Sword, while finally fighting for whats right he loses another bit of it and its finally shattered when he dies.

Just thought that was cool.
