I remembered something about an earlier chapter and decided to just throw this out there about the Sharingarm; could Danzo have implanted Shisui's arm as well as his eye?

The dude with the single Byakugan said his arm had Shisui's chakra (at least, on onemanga)... if he transplanted his arm, could that not take care of the problem of a transplanted Sharingan not functioning properly/it's best in a non-Uchiha body?

 

It's possible, I suppose, but what I think happened is more that he transplanted Shisui's other eye into his arm, since he only has one sensibly placed Sharingan.

 

So did Danzo just pull a genjutsu on the Mangekyo/Eternal Sharingan, or did he use some kind of clone/replacement jutsu? I was pretty disappointed for those few seconds when it looked like Danzo was going to get wtfpwned, rendering the whole "I'm releasing my arm" stuff absolutely useless.

And then he turns out to not be so useless, to which I was a little relieved. Danzo has been hyped as a villain for how many arcs and episodes now? It would have been such an unsatisfying waste for him to just get squashed like a bug by Sasuke's gay Susanoo.

And man, pussy!Naruto is really getting old. Just when I thought he wouldn't go any lower, this shit happens. Why didn't Kishi just name the series 'Sasuke' instead, since Sasuke has been the main plot for like 300 chapters now, and has been really the only one who's been kicking any kind of ass lately? The last time Naruto did anything was the Pein fight, which was how many chapters ago?

Seriously Kishi, please wrap up the Sasuke plot.

You whine too much. Dividing by Zero was the only logical conclusion to what's been happening to Naruto over the last few arcs. I'd be suprised if he didn't collapse like that after all the shit he went through.

 

Agreed; everything Naruto's been getting put through lately was building up to that moment. In what's been just a couple hours in-universe, he's had to deal with the conversations with Madara, Sakura, Sai, and Gaara; all of which added together mean his world is pretty much falling apart on him. It would be downright unhealthy if he wasn't freaking out over it.

Now, being Naruto he should bounce back from this pretty quickly; one his earliest established character traits is that while he can beaten down by trouble and adversity, he always comes back twice as strong. I imagine that once he's had a bit of time to process everything he'll be back in top form.

On a side note, it seems like some of the posters here think having emotions=being a pussy. That's a rather odd belief.

 

only because they all fail to see underneath the underneath. Like, why Naruto is so "obsessed" with Sasuke, or the fact that Naruto has been, is normally, and will always be an emotional ninja ever since he rejected the Shinobi Code and way before that.

A lot of times, some of us read the manga on a surface level, and take the content at face value. So it's up to threads like these to put shit into the proper perspective for those ignorant sobs.

Indeed. If that were true pretty much everyone apart from Danzo and Jiraiya will be pussies, since I seem to remember everyone else with a major role has had their so-called 'whiny bitch' moments - even bloody Madara, though that was in a flashback. In fact, I was reminded by the latest anime episode yesterday that Sasuke was hyperventilating too, when Madara was telling him about Itachi.

I think Chengar said it right. Naruto'll be back soon enough. Though what his thinking will be on the Sasuke issue will be the catch. If he still continues on the "I'll save Sasuke from the darkness" theme, I'll probably stop reading.

 

Naruto might get off the "Ill save Sasuke no matter what" bandwagon, but I say he wont end up killing him. Beat the piss and shit out of him, sure. Kill him never. Thats not Naruto.

You guys keeping expecting Naruto to suddenly change, but I doubt he will because he wouldnt be Naruto anymore. To actually kill Sasuke would probably kill Naruto.

And I have no problem with him breaking down. Proves he is still human. There isnt a damn thing wrong with breaking down after going through all the shit he has been through lately.

So yeah, Sasuke is final villain. NaruHina is canon and more Shikamaru. Sera will not be happy. Also, notice the if it happens in regards to Naruto being Hokage. Everything that pulled me into reading Naruto turned out to be lie. Fuck you Kishimoto.

 

Meh, Naruto's never going to kill Sasuke. TBH, I don't think Naruto's ever killed anyone and I can't see him starting with the guy he considers his brother.

Not really, I don't think that having emotions=pussy but theres a big difference between having emotions and this emo trip hes on. Id be fine if he was simply having emotions but whats happening is that the guy who considers him a brother is on a sociopathic power trip attacking and murdering people all because he wussed out on finishing the damn job every time they've run across each other and now when the girl he claims to love and is his best friend says "hey I'll take care of this for you so you don't have to", knowing full well that she can't possibly do it and will most likely die in the attempt, what does he do? Does he get up and say fuck this shit I need to go and help my best friend? When he knows that plans are being mobilized to go after Sasuke does he even get off his ass and say hey I want to be involved lets get this done right? No he sits on his ass having a panic attack.

So while I really don't think emotions=pussy, at some point soon I'd really like for him to man the fuck up thanks.

 

QFT. Yes, I agree with all of you saying that his having a breakdown shows he's still human and all that, but why can't he just cowboy the fuck up and get shit done. Have your little panic attack after you save the world, Naruto.

And Krogan's right. Every single time Naruto and Sasuke have met, Sasuke has shown willful intent to kill Naruto, and Naruto could never go through with it when he could've killed the little fucktard. Hell, his best chance was at VotE, but that was back when he did anything and everything Sakura wanted.

Also, I fucking loathe the fact that Naruto uses four jutsu throughout the entire series. He spent almost 3 years with Jiraiya, who was one of the most powerful ninja in the world. I'd like to think that, in the space and time of two and a half years, they'd have covered Kyuubi Chakra And You over the first few months, six at the most. As well as his training under Asuma, they would have (hopefully) covered at least a handful of Fuuton techniques, but I guess that's wishful thinking on my part and anything not involving Sasuke makes Kishimoto's brain hurt.

 

That actually reminds me. Kishimoto needs to think some of the things he does through. I mean, you'd think that "chakra paper" test or whatever to figure out what kind of element Naruto is suited to would be one of the first things Jiraiya had him do. Even if they don't learn any techniques from the thing, it's something you'd think Jiraiya would want to know about.

Really it should be something done in the academy, it takes no skill anyone who can work with chakra can't do and should be something considered when making teams.

 

Naruto does suffer from several rather painfully obvious retcons and/or plot holes. It's painfully obvoius that the entire system of tailed beasts and jinchuriki hadn't been created when Gaara first showed up, and the potential of shadow clones for super-training also seemed like an awkward addition (why didn't anyone think of/notice this in the 3+ years Naruto's been spamming Shadow Clones?).

Krogan: I currently expect Naruto to follow pretty much exactly the course you outlined once he calms down a bit. Naruto freakouts should be followed very closely by Naruto pulling himself together and realizing it's time to get serious and kick ass. If, 20 issues from now, Naruto is still doing nothing except being an emotional wreck while Sakura's doing her crazy suicide-for-love thing and Kakashi, Sai, Yamato, Gaara, and everyone else are out getting things done then we can start calling Naruto a pussy.
