Yeah, but Wolverine doesn't specifically hunt down criminals and goes to the insane lengths Punisher does.

O.K. let me just this one thing; This fucking rocks! I mean I'm enjoying every aspect of this story and find myself wishing that Marvel will read this and decide that this is the way their next big arc needs to go. I mean it's just that good.

This fic is now finished, with a phenomenal climax. And it looks like there's going to be a sequel, with Shocker as a member of the Avengers. Should be good times.

Final Score: 5/5. It wouldn't be fair to give something this epic a score lower then that.

Huh? While I'd love to see a sequel to this, where did you get that idea?

Anyway, this fic is friggin' amazing. Nothing more needs to be said.
    5/5, without a doubt.

This made me happy; unlike the other Shocker fic (Shocker: Legit?) this one had an ending that actually did it justice. Fantastic fic and if there is a sequel I can't wait. If there isn't; I can live with that.

    5/5.

Fixed the title of the thread. Please include the author, rating and if relevant - such as in this case - the fandom.

    Thank you.

Transistor updated again and I can finally see where this fic is going. I.e. Back to the status quo of heroes vs. villains.

Of the two big Shocker-centric fanfics, Polarity's the one I've read multiple times.

It's definitely the kind of fun underdog story I can get behind.

The early parts are rough, especially as it switches between past and present mid-chapter, but it's all uphill for me once it hits its stride.

I'd never heard of the Shocker before these but reading about the relatively mundane Herman Schultz in a world of super beings, especially one turned upside down by a zombie apocalypse, was surprisingly entertaining. His gimmick of vibro-gauntlets make for both a useful and powerful means of combat against the zombies running around and the more colourful enemies he faces. And I could enjoy his personal growth from a criminal looking for recognition and a good score to an aspiring hero in over his head.

I'm not much of a comic book reader; my knowledge of Marvel comes from the MCU, cartoons I watched as a kid and stuff I pick up from the internet. That said, most of the characters weren't hard to recognize even if some of the world's history flew over my head when they got brief mentions. It was never enough to drag me out of things regardless.

On that note, Rhino was a character I liked reading about here. I've only ever known him as a big, dumb thug who gets mad when Spiderman kicks his ass (especially after TAS2) so I appreciated seeing him here where....well, he's still those things but also a good friend, conscious of civilian casualties in his work and discovering that breaking shit doesn't necessarily equate to being a criminal. Similarly, I'd never even heard of Ms. Marvel before and now I feel like I've been missing out because the one portrayed in this fic was all kinds of badass.

Apparently, I missed out on a sequel but I can't say that I mind since I think things ended on just the right note.

I'd call this one a must-read for anyone interested in superheroes.

Yeah this one and Shocker Legit are probably my favorite. It's funny I read Shocker Legit before I even knew much about him.
