I personally didn't mind the Sharingan in part 1. The normal abilities weren't extremely overpowered, and the Mangekyou had a price. In part 2 it seems like the Sharingan gets upgrades every 10 chapters, and as long as you have another Mangekyou, you don;t have to pay a price.

I don't really mind overpowered abilities, as long as there is a price, like Kirin's charge time or Rasenshurikens chakra consumption.

 

Rasenshuriken and Sharingan are two completely different things. Naruto actually had to work extremely hard to develop the Rasenshuriken. Sure he did it extremely quickly, but he worked for it using a technique that is widely used, just not quite to Naruto's extent. It also has an extremely dangerous drawback until he manages to master it even more using sage mode.

Sasuke on the other hand on the other hand just pulls more Sharingan abilities out of his ass when ever something isnt quite going his way. On Itachi it didnt bother me near as bad. Itachi is several years older and has possessed the Mangekyou for far long; Sasuke has had it for what a few weeks?

 

I know they are two different things, I was just saying with any powerful ability, there should be a drawback or weakness. The Sharingan in part 1 had this, with losing your sight with the Mangekyou and it being ineffective if you can't see the enemy.

But in part 2, it lacks these, along with users of the Sharingan pulling new techniques out of their ass. That is what I was saying.

I know there is a big difference between Rasenshuriken and Sharingan, I was just saying there should be a drawback to any powerful ability.

 

Also, haven't seen Naruto since the breakdown. More fucking Sasuke content is annoying.

 

Agreed; it's times like these when I think that the people who say Kishimoto should have called the series Sasuke instead of Naruto have a point.

 

Well, the name Sasuke would be more relevant to the content of the story than Naruto, as Sasuke basically means 'ninja', while Naruto is a ramen topping and 'whirlpool'. Hell, Ninja Warrior (the tv program) is called Sasuke in Japan.

Naruto is obviously the main character, but I agree that it sucks that he's getting very little screen time lately.

Could this be? Is that Kishi's plan? Give him all the screen time in the world, buld up his fan support then have him do that ^ . He crosses the line, his fans are out for his blood and we can finally get back to Naruto! Kishi is a clever bastard.

Just when you think Sasuke can't be any more of an asshole...

Granted, Karin is a creepy, obsessive, stalker, but much like when Sasuke left Suigetsu and Jugo behind to die/get captured after all the times they put their lives on the line to save his ass, it shows that Sasuke really doesn't give a shit about anything or anybody except himself.

Kalas: Would be a good plan, except that by now I think the people who still like Sasuke would still be making excuses for him if he raped and murdered every single other character in the story in gruesome, graphic detail while laugh maniacally.

That said, it does seem like Kishi has been pushing Sasuke's asshole quotient in this arc a lot further than he has in the past in order to make it absolutely, 100% clear that he's not one of the good guys any more.

 

Would be great if true.

 

And its still gonna take Naruto arriving right in time to save Sakura's dumb useless ass from being killed, to even consider the idea that Sasuke may be beyond saving.

 

Personally, I suspect/hope that the cause or consequence of Naruto's massive breakdown a couple issues back will be that he finally decides that he has to do whatever is necessary to stop Sasuke.

 

If fanfiction is anything to go by, Sasuke fans would be fully supportive of and turned on by it.

 

I wouldnt complain if that happened, but Im not holding my breathe. Ive never had a problem with Naruto refusing to see Sasuke for what he has become, because thats just Naruto being Naruto without a very good reason he generally sees the best in people. But eventually Naruto will have a very good reason to quit believing in Sasuke.

I get the feeling Sasuke believes he can just waltz into Konoha and destroy it. Sasuke is no Pain. Sure he can get probably beat the people who are his age, and while it wont be too hard, it wont be easy.

Then eventually we get the Obi Wan/Vader battle between Kakashi and Sasuke, and Im personally thinking in a fair fight Kakashi kicks Sasuke's ass up and down Konoha. Sasuke has a couple of seemingly all powerful tricks up his sleeve and a fair bit of power. Kakashi while not tremendously gifted chakra wise, has thousands of tricks, far more experience, and Kakashi is patient and isnt stupid.

However, as we all know it wont be a fair fight or Sasuke will pull something out of his ass at the last minute defeating Kakashi, causing Naruto to step in and probably tear Sasuke limb from limb.

 

The tears of blood and mangekyo-form sharingan for no clear seem kind of random; at first I thought he was about to use Amaterasu. As it is, I have feeling that the weird eye thing will have some relation to Sasuke's next sudden, unjustified power-up.

Not much else to say on the chapter since the big event was already spoiled earlier. The Five Kage arc could easily be subtitled "Sasuke Crosses the Moral Event Horizon."

 

Everything that's being discussed right now is nice and all, but I think we're missing the most important thing here...

How will Konoha get their Hokage hat back?

 

Danzo wasn't wearing the real Hokage hat, it was one he had specially made many years ago for the time when he felt the need to ... on second thought, everyone here would be happier not knowing what he actually did with that hat. What matters is that Konoha doesn't want it back, and hopefully Sasuke or Madara will do the world a favor and burn it ASAP.

 

The real question is:
Does this mean Hashirama Senju might come back in the same way that Orochimaru might?
A long shot, I know, but possible. As much as i like the concept of the First... he's dead and gone, it would be a bit annoying. Is Kishimoto just trying to inject another character into the story
