This is the greatest chapter Kishi's penned in quite some time. In one swoop, he humanised Danzo, set his history with Sarutobi, showed us Sakura's intent for a sucicide mission (thus explaining her wierd actions in context) as well as Sai's loyalty to his friends and the culmination of Madara's plans for Sasuke, who's gone off the hinge. Not to mention the final F-U from Danzo to Madara by denying him all the Sharingan in his body and even pulling a suicicide jutsu at the same time.

 

Does anybody else realize that Sakura was about to try to leave the best tracker in the Inuzukia (mentioned a few chapters back), Lee, and all of his sheer tiajutsu potential, and Sai's recon and ink skills, alone, where there are members of Akatsuki, both with grudges against Konoha?

 

Hah.

Sakura failed at fucking up.

 

Well, that chapter was both good and bad. Kishimoto killed Danzou, gave us two one-shot characters, told us how Best Water Manipulator Ever died (he was fucked the moment they knew it was Kumo), and Sakura sucks again!

Sai's little intervention was somewhat expected, though I was hoping for something along the lines of Lee kicking her in the face, but w/e.

As stated above, those four don't have a chance in hell against Sasuke, even if they Epic Teamwork. Sasuke's too strong at this point, and even with Chakra exhaustion from fighting Danzou, Tobi/Madara is still there to kick some Leaf Chuunin ass.

Also, we have finally gotten rid of Karin. Is anybody else glad that Sasuke's little doctor is now dead? Now he doesn't have another hax bloodline/jutsu/whatever you call it at his disposable.

Naruto was told to rest under Yamato's watch, but he manages to sneak away and go towards Kakashi.

Outwitted by Sakura, Sai, Lee, and NejiKiba have been put to sleep.

Madara collects Danzō's corpse (so he can obtain Shisui's eyes)
(It appears to be a fruitless effort, since Danzō smashed Shisui's eyes while he was on the verge of death, making recovery impossible)
Madara: "Finish the girl off, she knows too much"
Sasuke: "When did become your comrade? I have no reason to follow your orders"
Madara leaves. Sasuke approaches Karin, while Karin reminisces.
Karin hails from the same village of Konoha. Back when they had to collect the scrolls of Heaven and Earth, Karin lost her comrades and was attacked by a bear, but she was saved.
Boy Sasuke: Is that a Scroll of Earth? Well, bye~ (smiling face)
Current Sasuke: (face dies away) Well, bye~
Karin: I just wanted to see his face one more time...
Just when he wants to finish Karin off, Sakura appears
Sasuke: "Sakura...? How did you find me?"
Sakura: (This is the current Sasuke-kun. He changed so much...)
"I'm going to accompany you Sasuke-kun, so I'm running from konoha as well!!"

The only way any of those spoilers would make the slightest bit of sense is if an issue or two later we find out it was all a trick and/or genjutsu. As it is, the only remotely good thing about the spoilers is that Naruto will finally be getting some page time in his own manga again.

While I would wish for that to happen, Sasuke killing Sakura would be as close to poetic justice that this manga could get now, I really don't see it happening, not after Kishi said he wanted to focus this year on making Sakura a heroine, whatever he my understand under this term.

I mean, she either fakes it to come close to them or does not. If she doesn't fake it, it would make her the biggest bitch in the Narutoverse (ok even more of the biggest bitch). And If she fakes it, Sasuke and Madara are not going to buy it and Sasuke is not going to be interested in her joining him in the first place.

Also I would like to see how exactly Sakura got the drop on four people (counting Akamaru) who were expecting her to do some shit like that.
