I still play Crystal from time to time, which is by far the best game in the series.

I have little interest in playing mediocre games with no nostalgia attached, so I won't play gen5, but I'll probably try the remakes.

Shoddy's just a java app. If you're having trouble with it, update your java client or play around with its preferences. I think you need to have it set to 1.5 compatibility mode, or something like that. Smogon's forums have tech info on getting it working if it's buggy.

aside: Really the only problem I have with shoddy is that some legendaries (like Zapdos) are allowed in OU play. Oh, and that 50% of the userbase tries to copy each other when they make their teams (be prepared to fight uxie, metagross, and salamence over and over again).

 

That's why you join a private server with people who aren't reatrds like the ones on Smogon. Actually, it's free isn't it? A DLP server would be fairly boss.

Also, why I try to run Shoddy, a big ass box comes up with a red stop sign saying it's unable to start the application.

I haven't gotten round to making a second team yet on Soddy, but I'm rather fond of my first.

Charizard, Lapras, Electivire, Flygon, Espeon and Tyranitar.

 

Anyone got an emulator that works for Blue, Yellow, Red?

 

My OU team is Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Jolteon, Magmortar, Empoleon and Scizor. In preparation for the NU tourney coming up I've made a nu team. Primape, Raticate, Exeggutor, Electrode, Fearow and Quagmire. Turned out to be a surprisingly awesome set.

 

Visualboy Advance also runs the GBC games.

One thing I'd love if they did was to change the Fire/Water/Grass starters. Absolutly anything else would be awesome. The way it is now is getting way old.

That said, Eevee(lutions) are awesome. I love having a full team of essentially the same Pokemon, design wise, and kick enough ass to finish the game. If I only I could have him as a starter instead of having to trade him into the game.

 

Epic Eevee breeding program is epic.

So far, I've hatched about 100 or more Eevees.

I finally have a set of Eevees with 2 or more max IVs. FINALLY.

I'm looking into online trading, if anyone is interested.

I have a surplus of (IV wise) 31 HP and 31 SPD Eevees, but I'm working on 31 SP ATK/ 31 SP DEF ones right now.

 

More Gen 5 pokemon to be announced this sunday. The names of the games as well as the region might also be announced.

Imaginative, I guess. Interesting, more like.

In a perfect world, these titles would be indicative to something wonderful and game changing for the fifth gen, but I think they didn't want to get into more gem names. Besides, the titles never really mean much, if anything.

EDIT: Over at a big ol' Pokemon forum, the first posts are all arguing over the racism in using Black and White... Yeesh that was fast.
