Shit. I'd ask if it was really necessary to quote that particular section of the story, but it adequately summarizes the epic fail that story turned out to be.

Second, did anyone actually read that part? I forced myself to read through it once... What a colossal waste of time. I'm not reading a Harry/Tonks/Fleur fic because one of them has a nine in healing; I'll tell you that right now.

Is it too much to ask for the Harry/Fleur thread to die an honorable death?

There are a fair few decent Harry/Fleur stories to go around, my favourites being Knowledge is Power which is brilliant once you get into it altho it's been abandoned and The Lie I'v Lived which is jus a fantastic piece of writing by Jbern.

Now if only I could find some more decent authors for it...

I don't know there have been quite a few new Harry/Fleur stories, but they lack quality. The good ones are either complete or still in progress. I'm still waiting for Dagger and Rose pt 2.

Seriously though, if there's a pairing still going strong around these parts, I'm not aware of it. I still have some good H/F fics to catch up on, so I'm not complaining. The new stuff I've checked out wasn't up to par though.

Yes, but Joe has said that there will be a sequel to Wastelands. Between this and Jbern's The Truth I'd Die For, we do have something to look forward to. And there is the sequel to Dagger and Rose by Perspicacity as well.

Also, my own fic, A Story of Hallows and Horcruxes, features H/F slightly, even though the major pairing is Harry/Narcissa.

So, I wouldn't really say that Harry/Fleur pairing is dying out. If you check FF there are plenty of stories with this pairing. It's just that our standards of a fanfic are so high that most don't meet the criteria.

 

Holy shit I thought this thread died ages ago, although I'm not disappointed.

Johnny you're right, as long as the great authors keep posting the pairing, people with actual taste can continue to enjoy it.

What's this about The Truth I'd Die For? Maybe I'm just out of touch but where did you here about the title?
