I did enjoy that chapter a lot. James seems so cool and collected he's actually a scarily dangerous character. What's even stranger is the fact that he's the brains behind the operation.

Oh and yeah, I'm willing to bet that Mass Effect was a cause of the long update wait.

 

Jessie and James: The Badass Duo. Whouda thunk it? Some nice explanation about Ash's super special awesome powers, but the Pokemon name mispelling thing is starting to grate me ever so slightly. It's Ninetales god dammit. But still - good chapter.

Yeah.... sorry about that one. It made sense in my head and Open Office's spell-check isn't set up for Pokemon. Once I get to a good point in the story I'll take a week and weed out all of the misspellings.

Either way, this update was... decent, but could of been a bit better. I dunno, it just didn't... catch me as the others did.

Still, enjoyed it more than any other pokemon fic I've read so far.

Agatha = Elite Four member. Used mostly ghost type. I probably wouldn't have thought of it on my own, but Agatha is a good guess.

That doesn't make sense, though. IIRC, the elite four are inside the maelbolge at all times, to protect the indigo plateua from everything in the cave.

Some people theorize that Bertha is her sister, due to physical similarities, but she's a ground-type trainer. I assume that this is something like in gen2 where Lance helps the hero even though he's the champion. Agatha has both Arbok and Golbat in the games, so she's the safest bet.

 

This would work with pokemon canon, but not with sun soul. it's been stated that

Wonder if a ghost will be caught? Especially given the talk about wrongness... It could be incredibly useful, though, if he had to deal with psychics.

 

I'm predicting the Haunter that caught Ash (if I remember right) will join the party. A nod to the anime, perhaps?

 

The ghost types in this story are fairly epic so I can't see him resisting adding a Haunter to the team.

To be honest I'm far more interested in whether or not Snorlax will appear.
