    Epic Episode.

    Or most epic episode?

    Two horsemen down.

Pestilence and Death need to make an appearance.

    and keep in mind guys.

The horsemen aren't _dead_ they WILL be back.

They can be defeated. But I sincerely doubt that they can be killed by 'taking a ring' or 'detonating a half dozen demon souls in their gut'

Did anyone else love the irony at the end, of how Famine was taken down by feasting?

Sam.. yeah Sam fucking made this episode, with Famine, though Castiel deserves a special mention. When he admits he is actually happy when eating.. yeah it was a stunning moment.

I'm glad no one appeared to Dean when he begged for help. It would have cheapened the moment and the impact it had.

I know it's a double post, but it's been two days.

It took a while to realise - Sam handled that scene with the first demon all *wrong.* He completely ignored his training, his field experience, and all the theoretical aspects of combat with a supernatural creature.

He ambushed the demon, simply assuming that he would be able to defeat it in hand-to-hand. He didn't shoot it from a distance, though that would have been enough to guarantee that it was incapacitated. He wounded it lightly instead of going for a crippling blow. He didn't tell Dean or Castiel, let alone asking for backup.

John would have been *pissed* that Sam didn't spray it with holy water before closing in. There were lots of smarter ways to fight it, and Sam knows them all.

..That's cause Sam has gotten cocky with dealing with demons. I thought it was obvious. And tbh he SMELLED the demon. This is the first time he's done it. So he's not gonna go in guns blazing and knifes stabbing on the off chance he was wrong.

So something I thought was a bit strange but could possibly be awesome

Episode 16 both brothers die and go to Heaven apparently.

    Also

Former EastEnders actor Adam Croasdell has landed a role in hit American drama Supernatural, Digital Spy can reveal.

The 29-year-old, currently best known for his part as Walford's Dr Al Jenkins, is to play Baldur, the Norse god of light on the CW series.

Also, Jon is right, I thought he didn't go in guns blazing because he smelled the demon out and he didn't shoot him in case he turned out to be wrong. Its a hell of a lot easier to get away with pulling a knife on someone quickly in a back alley than it is shooting them from outside the alley in broad daylight.

Then why not just spray him with Holy water?

I think the blood hunger was already starting to affect his judgement, even subconciously. When I got pregnant with my first, the OB specifically told me to stop -cold- with my 3k+ mcgs of Aspirin a day (aspirin has been connected with a phenomenon known as placental bleeding, and, yes, that is as horrifying as it sounds.) I got rid of the bottles in each of my purses, beside the bed, next to the tea pitcher in the kitchen, in the medicine cabinet, in my exercise gear bag, and in my desk drawer. A week later, when my joints started hurting, I didn't even have to think about it. I went into the attic, opened up my husband's travel case, and pulled out the bottle that he'd left in there after Christmas. Luckily, I caught myself and tossed them, but I hadn't even realized that I knew the pills were there.

It was an extremely odd experience. And it taught me something about habituation, especially when it's related to pain control.

Because middle of an alleyway or not the only thing the demon had to do was start screaming, he looked like a weak middle aged business man and Sam was much bigger and holding a weapon on him, middle of an alleyway or not it was still broad daylight in the middle of a crowded city, he starts screaming help help and when people come running shits will be damn difficult for Sam to explain. He needed to close the distance quickly and quietly and overwhelm him.

Supernatural has been confirmed for season 6. It and four other CW shows have been given early pickups.

Thank god the apocalypse storyline will be ending, which as much I love it, I would cringe if its dragged along for another season. Plus, Kripke will be back. If he was out, I would be too right along with him. So season 6 will definitely be AWESOME.

According to that article, it seems Miss Gamble is heading up the show... Kripke's back, but not at the helm. I'll still watch it. But still - this is joyous news, because more Supernatural is always a good thing.

I hear season 6 will go back to seasons 1 & 2 type storylines. I hope thats true, because I think I'm starting to tire of the apocalypse storyline, which is supposed to come a close this season.

I like the apocalypse storyline. I admit, it could be handled a little better but it is a apocalypse on a budget so I guess they're doing the best they can.

So, have any DLP authors written any Supernatural fanfiction? I'd kill for an epic written by Joe.

This. I've only seen one or two half-decent supernatural fics, but it's a fandom with a lot to work with.

The general quality of Supernatural fanfiction can pretty much be summed up by that episode where Sam and Dean are basically browsing ff.net XD.
