We can get it early on our kindles? His site says April 6. And yeah I am really dying to read it, if anyone knows where I can buy a digital copy that would be great.

Apparently Harry and Maggie don't interact due to Maggie being scared as hell and passing out. Marcone helps Harry somewhat. Uriel says that he can't help and I'm guessing the Archive says the same. Kiln will have to reveal those details.

And the Red Court getting taken down is pure awesome. Harry is going to become even more feared. :awesome

I got my copy from Chapters on the 27th....Their website says the release date is the 6th....So I think someone may have screwed up and stuck em on the shelf early.

I manage to get my hands on the book this morning and I've been absolutely hooked from beginning to end. I'm glad I didn't see the spoilers though, the facts are there but they just don't do the events justice.
Anyone in the UK, Amazon and Play don't have it yet but it's sitting on the shelves in Waterstones.

Ignoring all the big storyline stuff, anyone else curious about the bit with Mouse and Lea? That dog is getting more and more unusual with every passing book.

The book definitely lived up to the title though, his office is gone, his home is gone, hell even Mister has had to flee so I can't wait to see which direction Butcher ends up going next time.

Also it should be noted that earth magic is awesome and watching Ebenezer and the Grey Council (as well as Bob - the halo of doom) finally cut loose was simply epic.

That's a good way to describe the book actually, it's a bit clunky in places but it has a completely epic feel to it that you don't often get with modern fantasy.

The Archive says her hand are tied but tells Harry that Marcone has information that will help him. Marcone helps a bit with finding clues and hooking Harry up with Odin, and Uriel confirms that Maggie is Harry's biological daughter but he can't directly interfere.

How were people's reactions to Harry exterminating the Red Court?

it's not mentioned at all. It'll probably show up in the next book (let the countdown to November begin).

It's also suggested that Martin masterminded the whole thing including getting Susan to kill him thus becoming the sacrifice Harry needed to kill off all the Reds....so technically it was all Martin's doing and Harry was his semi-unwitting pawn. That being said, I'm sure people will be running like hell at the sight of him in future ....powerful wizard, Winter Knight, perceived as the slayer of the entire red court (though some might call it genocide).

Despite all the changes, and I agree there were many, what annoyed me about this book is how little it really advanced the main plot. We're no closer to discovering anything about the Black Council or what's really going on...It was just some random side trip that had some very cool elements and changed a lot of peripheral things in Harry's life. The daughter could be a big game changer but I think that we won't be hearing from her for a long while if ever.

I agree. Mouse is getting cooler and cooler (literally ^_-). I wonder if Harry will be able to start talking to him again.

Though I've only read the spoilers I kind of have to disagree with your reason for being annoyed. If anything, this is setting the foundation for massive plot advancement. I mean, sure, you can be annoyed that there wasn't any game breaking revelation (I mean, besides the entire Red Court being wiped out). But if you recall the Red Court has been a pawn of the BC all along. Also there's the Grey Council, Harry becoming Winter Knight. I don't really see how you can be dissatisfied with all the movements going on.

It does advance it somewhat, we see why the Black Council gave that spell to Victor Sells, we find out who one other member of the Grey Council is. And although it might not strictly be central plot now, the war with the Red Court - now thoroughly not an issue was definitely more plot central earlier on in the books and has remained pretty important for the rest of them.

That said, I do see your point about the Black Council plot line although we're not even half way through the series that Butcher hopes to write.

I'm not saying I didn't like the book (it was great despite being a touch clunky sometimes) or that the changes weren't enough to satisfy me (there were so many it's kind of hard to keep track). I was just hoping for some major revelations about the Black Council or at least more time spent discussing them seeing as the last book finally unveiled evidence of a BC working against the White Council. I also agree that Harry becoming the Winter Knight and managing to kill off the entire Red Court will cause ripples in ways we can't predict. I just wish all the changes could be more readily tied in to the main plot. If, as Sol suggests, this book is nothing but a staging point for massive development in the next book then I'll likely favorably alter my current opinion.

...oh my fucking god, I'm not going to get spoiled for this, but SOMEBODY mentioned the name of a certain fucking
    Denarian
so I'm this close to asking whether or not what I predicted actually came fucking true, but I'm not going to ask, no no, not going to ask...

    This is for you Silens.

No denarians in this book as far as I'm aware.

Because there is no way I'll be able to read the book for several coming weeks, I would love a copy of the spoilers.
