His stories are still in my C2, but I can't remember reading them recently.

I do remember that this particular story fucked itself pretty hard. Gay jokes about Snape and Dumbledore stand out in memory.

The thing that really turned me off was how he realized he could keep the story going. The "immortality" of Dumbledore got old the first time I read it.

Lionheart is like the makers of the Friday the 13th movies. He knows his audience doesn't give a shit about plot, they just want to see people get cut up. Any logical ending point is bypassed for the sake of the next 1000 reviews.

I find this mildly interesting, but incredibly overdrawn out. Also, the plethora of plot points and ideas would have worked so much better if he had just written separate stories; ie: the gang as fairies, Luna's grandma Alice, the 'hidden' wizarding world. It just feels much too cluttered. That's my main gripe.

This story is pretty much a combination of all the cliches ever written, all the characters he could stuff in there and all the convoluted plots he could imagine. It's not Harry Potter anymore, for Christ's sake! Fairies, muggles, space exploration, incredibly powerful artifacts...and on to infinity. The last ten chapters I get the notifications and don't read them. It's boring, it's gone long after its expiration date and it should have the decency to die sometime soon. 1/5 from me and the 1 is for some original ideas that a decent author could turn in something worthwhile.

Once I got to the part about fairies, I stopped reading this story.

It was one of my first HP fanfics, and prior to it, I'd never seen manipulative Dumbledore, but once I reached the part with fairies I knew it could only get worse.

I admit to have read PL's other story and was into it for maybe forty chapters before dropping. I wanted to try his Harry Potter story to see if it would be the same but frankly, Harry suddenly turning faerie boy didn't sit well and I didn't look at it again.

 

Dumbledore here is beyond manipulative, he is... just... wow. And he has thirteen horcruxes. Harry becomes a unicorn, btw. Have I mentioned that HARRY TURNS INTO A FLOWER GARDEN?

 

Screw basilisks and dragons, the true indy!Harry is now going to be a Jabberwock animagus.

Seriously, the build up on that thing is crazy. Confusing everyone who hears it (and forcing most people to hear it), distorting communication, moving invisibly, eyes of flame that burn everything it sees...

And the Prime Minister is an evil demon that stole the power of the Queen and is hiding it in his lair (or something like that).

Of course, even the Queen of Great Britain is shocked and awed by butler!Vader.

I shouldn't really have followed mknote's lead on this one...

 

I actually liked this fic, just because it was so compleltey ridiculous, until Harry fell through a mirror into wonderland and turned into, I repeat, a flower garden. With multi colored flowers. And then Luna took a pair of shears, and cut out all of his flaws, represented by "black flowers". At that point I just gave up.

 

Wait...wut? In all honesty, I gave this fic a worthy shot.

I got to chapter 5 and gave up. The combination of cliche with crack-trying-to-be-serious turned me off from the get-go.

 

Well, you're far, far braver than I. I think I gave up somewhere just after the point the author had his "characters" discussing turning Malfoy into girl. I've got a fairly high tolerance for weird but this story far surpasses any reasonable expectation for suspension of disbelief. It's just odd, and it's got waaaaaay too many "plot" devices in it to be tenable. This story is an episodic acid trip of truly screwed up proportions.

Given some of his ideas, one has to wonder what kind of drugs this guy is on... And if he's willing to share...

Having stopped reading this story quite a bit ago, I am eagerly awaiting the out come of that investigation and the unholy shitstorm to follow....
I give it a 1/5 for the shear balls of the author to continue it.

 

I haven't been able to read it for months, but I love the fact that it's still being written. Possibly the most lolwut story in HP. You one crazy nigga, author.

 

My god, I can't believe this is still going on.

Dropped it when Dumbledore died and was resurrected pretty much every day.

And the fic is shit. It made me dislike PL and his challenges.

 

I got to the part where PL insinuated that that 13 year olds dating ended in marrige and it got iffy. Then they turned into shape shifting faries...

 

I'm so glad I stopped reading this after the first chapter.
