Eh, I did not grind at all really. I ran from about 1/2 of wild battles.

 

I've been playing the shit out of this lately. Sun Soul got me back into pokemon, and now I can't stop! I've even started migrating my pokemon from ruby and sapphire into this game. I'm at...

136 out of 493 in my pokedex. My team is Lvl 50 Feraligator, Lvl 50 Graveler, Lvl 50 Kadabra, Lvl 50 Flareon, Lvl 47 Gligar, and a Lvl 36 Altaria. Once Altaria is up to snuff, I plan on taking the Exp Share off of her and take Graveler out for Elekid to train. Good times.

Wait what're you trying to do here? Train up a team for a tournament? Bro, shoulda traded the shit out of your Graveler when it evolved. It'd have better stats.

Nah, not making a team for a tourney. That'll come later. Right now I'm just working on my pokedex and leveling my team. Right now, my dex is at 298, with 4 more coming once I find someone who'll let me use their DS to trade from my Diamond.

And right now my team is a Lvl 60 Feraligator, Sceptile, Charizard, and Electivire, with a lvl 52 Salamance and a 42 Pupitar. I'm thinking that once Pupitar evolves, I'll have my final team.

Finished the game with that team and then moved them to Platinum so I could start a new team which consists of Totodile, Beldum, Charmander and Sneasel.

EDIT: Reggin. About the ROMs, there hasn't been much luck in getting them working but the best one so far is on #pokemanz on irc.

 

Only have four right now on Heart Gold, using a pretty basic team because I'm too lazy to be bothered with trading. Typhlosion, Gyarados, Ampharos and Espeon. Probably going to add Hitmonchan soonish when I get around to going through Mt. Mortar (I think?), and either an HM Slave or Donphan/Gliscigor (sp?) for my last spot. Probably the former since I don't really want more than one pokemon with part Flying. Definitely taking Totodile the next time I play btw.

 

Typhlosion's moveset is dicks compared to the upgrades Feraligatr and Meganium got.

I'm getting an eevee for myself which I'll probably turn into a Leafeon but then I have a problem. What will occupy the 6th slot? Beldum, Totodile, Charmander, Eevee, sneasel and... ?

I'm thinking shuckle or Croagunk...

 

Yeah, I know...really wishing I'd taken a different starter but I'm way too far along now to just quit and start over.

 

Does anyone know if the bug contest gives out shiny stones before the National Dex? Internet guides seem to be split on the subject.

 

Not sure. Might have a spare on Platinum though.

 

All the simulators I've tried so far are utter crap.... barely playable, really. Any help?
