On a more serious note, I agree that it could be a former body of Madara's, or in some way a skeleton in his closet (maybe his brother?), something that would seriously damage him if word got out. That's what I was wondering about it being Minato, why would Kabuto make that kind of reassurance? I also thought it might be Hashirama, but the same question stands. Of course, it could be some sort of psychological warfare/trump card issue or something...

 

The only word getting out that could damage him in any way is where his base of operations is, and that's out now.

I honestly fail to see how a skeleton in his closet could matter at all. He's fucking Uchiha Madara. Word of anything can't do shit against him. An exploit, like if the whole 'his actual body' thing prediction pans out, now that might matter a little.

 

True, but how would having his actual body help? Is it still in some way connected to him? Couldn't really be, could it, considering that if that was the case he would surely have guarded it a bit more carefully?

Now it being someone like Hashirama or something would be a better bet, especially with the history.

That does incline me to lean a bit more towards the theory that it's Madara's brother; that kind of reaction would not quite fit with Kabuto pulling up someone who's scary-powerful, but seems closer to the reaction for someone/thing close to Madara.

 

Prediction: Kabutomaru resurrected Madara's puppy.

Sounds like it should be a decent issue, if for no other reason than the fact that we'll finally get to see Naruto and Killer Bee meet. I kind of hoped Naruto would do a bit more in Konoha though; if nothing else, he ought to meet up with Tsunade. He's also overdue for a talk with Hinata and Sakura, and I have a feeling that sending him to a deserted island will be an excuse to leave that particular plot thread dangling for quite a while longer.

I sort of feel like Kisame would be screwed stuck on an island with Bee and Naruto. Especially since Naruto doesn't rely on Kyuubi to fight.

Also, Naruto is going to be pissed when he figures out that he's being sequestered away from the action. Right now he thinks that he's only there to meet Killer Bee and train under him thanks to the prophecy, but once he's done with that he's going to rage (with Kyuubi powers).

Awesome.

 

Glad they've still got some of the comedic aspects to the manga. Naruto calling out to the octopus saying "Show me the way!" made me laugh.
