I would have to get my laptop back from a friend ( I lent it out ) and that should be by tomorrow if you don't mind waiting.

We were playing Diamond, got Heartgold. Got like an hour and we all said screw it. Most of the last several have basically been the same stuff with less tweaks then normal, not bothering.

Arrived at Ecruteak last night and have enjoyed the game for the most part thus far. There are some improvements and a few annoyances, some carrying over from the original game.

Some of the remixes are pretty shoddy, but a few are good. Some disproportionate levels between trainers/wild Pokemon and Gyms still bug me. For example, Ilex Forest, the dungeon after the second Gym, peaks at Lv 6 while the Gym does at Lv 17. The first trainer after Ilex Forest has two Lv 8 Spearows, a 7 Ratata and a 10 Sandshrew. Quite a few trainers are just so much lower than they should be. It makes it too easy on one level, and forces more grinding on another.

    Anyway, my current team:
    Croconaw 27
    Honchkrow 27
    Flaaffy 28
    Gengar 27
    Heracross 5

Just caught Heracross and am now in the process of catching Magmar.

Alright. I'm up to 331 out of 493 pokemon. One of the biggest problems I have is that I haven't seen Cyndaquil, thus can't get one through wifi trade. I have, however, seen Quilava. Anyone want to breed one up for me? I'll trade you any other starter for it. I have Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Chikorita, Totodile, Torchic, Treeko, Mudkip, Chimchar, and Piplup. Turtwig will be coming later.

I...I just lost a shiny meowth. Critical hit from an attack that should have left it perfect for catching.

Not sure, but I think this is breaking the NO WAREZ rule.

Emulator rules are tricky, the emulator itself is perfectly legal, and the rom is perfectly legal if you already own the game. So, for the sake of legality, lets just say everybody already own the game and are simply downloading it for back up's sake.

... The rom is in Japanese.

EDIT 1: The youtube user has multiple links for US only(prepatched) roms. Will edit again if it works.

    and success ...

Unfortunately some shit is still in japanese, so if you want it, you'll kind of have to deal with it if/when you play.

True, if you download it from the internet.

It says nothing about buying a GBA Flash Card and 'uploading' it to your computer.

protip? Poorly written law is poor.

the quote is from the nintendo website, on a F.A.Q. page. It's not the actual wording of the law.

Seriously, though, that sucks. In all my Gen 3 & 4 games (and I have all of the main series ones), with a combined total of over 200 hours of gameplay, I've come across only two shinies: a Vulpix on LeafGreen and a Wingull on Platinum. I managed to catch both (hell, I was so excited with the Vulpix, and so afraid it knew Roar, that I used my Master Ball), but yeah, that really sucks, Sera.

I just tossed about 40+ Ultra Balls at the Red Shiny Gyrados at the lake of Rage in Crystal. Bastard had 5% health left and was asleep. Kept popping out. Finally just knocked it out.

    ^Lol.

Was lucky for me then. Only used like 10 and the bastard was caught. Maybe that myth b - down thing actually works. :p

It doesn't actually affect it but it makes you hope. Also... one ultra ball is all I used on that Gyrados and I caught it.
