Looking forward to this - funny combined with what looks like awesome action? Should be great. The fact that the Daily Mail is trying to kick off a 'Ban This Sick Filth!' campaign against it just boosts the appeal for me.

 

Just watched this today and thought it was fucking awesome. The Hit-girl hallway scene gave me epic chills. Didn't care for the humour too much but the action scenes were amazing.

 

I took a look at the comic, and it was pretty pathetic. Maybe the movie will be better. My impression is that it's a self-conscious response to the real superhero movies that have been released recently, and will fall flat.

The movie was awesome, action scenes were very entertaining but i did not like how the final scene ended.

Seems both pretty brutal, and the language is surprising.

I saw it last night. It was amazing! The bazooka rocked. Hit Girl is my new hero(ine). I only wish I was half that badass at 11. Or, y'know, now.

 

I'm in love with Hitgirl. Worth seeing just for how awesome she is.

 

Yeah, that movie was pretty damn great. Nothing else to post except that I agree with the previous three posts wholeheartedly!

 

One of the best superhero movies I've ever seen.

Imo, it's a huge improvement over the comic. They changed a few of the characters around a bit, but I think it all worked out for the better.

 

I thought it was a bit schizophrenic - it seemed to start out as (an affectionate) parody of superhero films, but by the end it was more of a genre-savvy superhero film. Still very enjoyable though, and I did feel very sorry for Hit-Girl.

Dave getting the girl seemed a little off though. He pretended to be gay, which led to him seeing her naked on at least one occasion, and he was lying to her on a regular basis. All the girls I know would have kicked him of the door, not let him grope them. Oh well.

Which makes much more sense, to be honest. Aside from that leap in logic, it worked well, but it was a stretch. But hey - given the crazy ass stuff throughout the film, picking at that is a little petty.

I agree with this guy. It going for Hit Girl as a cutsie factor was too transparent for me, so there went the only gimmick of the movie.

 

I enjoyed the light comedy mixed with extremely brutal action sequences. Really entertaining!

 

I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard at the theatre. Epic was epic.
