I started reading this story a couple days ago and it seemed extremely familiar. The following scene made me sure. I know I have read it before, however, I want to make sure that it isn't the same author. If not unleash hell on the little shit.

"Harry just shook his head with a sigh; some people were just weird. He decided to send his letter to Remus and walked towards the Owlery. When he walked up the winding staircase however, Lady Fortune was against him. A girl was walking down the flight of steps, slipped and fell into Harry, causing him to go down backwards.

He touched down quite painfully on the hard surface of an intermediate landing of the staircase and a pink-haired girl fell on top of him. Harry distinctly felt the young woman's assets leaning on his chest and recognized her after a moment as a Hufflepuff seventh year. She stumbled for a bit, trying to get up unsuccessfully before she made eye contact with Harry and blushed madly.

Harry rolled them over skillfully, until he was leaning over her with him on his side and still looking in her eyes. The girl seemed to freeze for a second for being in this kind of position with a boy.

"Hi. Are you okay?" Harry started cheerfully, completely comfortable in their position mainly because she wasn't.

"Yeah….. I'm alright. Are you? I'm really sorry for crashing into like this, but I'm just very clumsy. Can we get up?" The young witch asked.

"I don't know, can you?" Harry replied in return.

With that he got up and offered a hand to help her. The Hufflepuff seventh year took it and hoisted herself up. However Harry, much to her embarrassment, kept hold of her hand and lightly kissed the back of it.

"I'm Harry Potter, nice to meet you Miss ….?"

"Tonks, just Tonks. And it's nice to meet you too." Tonk replied carefully."

 

*Kanye Shrug*

I'd say it's difficult to call plagiarism when the 'victim' has taken down and deleted all his stories.

It's not... right, but in practicality it's a non-issue.

 

I've got a strong streak of 'Information Wants To Be Free' in me, so on the topic of people that chuck hissy-fits for one reason and another and delete all their shit: fuck 'em. Kudos to this guy for preventing that.

Plus, that scene sucks ass on a biscuit. If you you're going to rip somebody off, it least make it good...

I'm tired of these copying Knowledge is Power. It's not even my favorite work anymore.

What the hell, give him a shot. Though I would have liked it more if he already wrote a story so that I could see his writing style.

 

It's not worth plagiarizing. If you're going to steal work, might as well be from a decent story.

Must have been really good at 2006 or w/e it was written.

 

Actually it sucked even then. The author tried way, way too hard to make Harry cool.

 

KiP? The fic where he was around Dumbledore's level in his fifth year or so, out-witted Fudge, Malfoy and the rest of the politicians, became the world's best chaser in his teens, played Hotel California to his mother who was in coma? Friends with vampires, massive network, won some goblin poker tournament, became a blademaster, owned a nightclub, made electronics work with magic...

Okay, it was pretty damn fail XD Still was a wonderful read when you weren't so jaded and cynical back then. And alot more accepting of that crap.

 

The story was epic when it wasn't at all clear whether it might be an elaborate joke played on the fanfiction community. As soon as the author showed us (on here, actually) that he was dead serious and that he was just an asshat, it broke the fourth wall and was no longer funny. It was sad.

The author took it down in an "I must divorce myself from such irrelevant frippery a week after I announce to everyone that I've mapped out the next thirty chapters" failstorm not long afterward.

 

Did all of that happen here? It sounds like a bunch of hilarity took place.
