I thought that was a stretch as well, he's not a priest but wikipedia put him in the angel level of hierarchy. I guess they just wanted to show Lucifer bitch slapping every faith. I loled at Ganesh getting slaughtered.

I'm pissed Gabriel is finally done for. And I expected a little but more from Kali. After all that she just disappears at the end after getting saved. Would of liked some exposition from her.

I fucking loled at Lucifer strolling into the place and being all like "Bitch Please" when the Gods attacked him, then when he just strolled into the room "Sam, Dean good to see ya, been a while" I just died laughing.

Lets see what else Kali is my new girl, anyone who fire punches Lucifer in the face like that is :awesome.

Gabriel was kinda waffly at first but he really manned up at the end.
Lucifer: "So you're doing this for Micheal now?"
Gabriel: "Micheal? Screw that prick, if he was here I'd shiv his pompous ass too."
The hidden message in the porno at the end was fucking epic as well, I laughed until my sides hurt.

Pestilence was...really fucking nasty, thats about all there is too it.

Edit: Also Anlun he is put as a "God" and I use the term very loosely in the Voodoo faith, people pray to him, so for all intents and purposes that puts him on the same level as far as I need to know.

 

Gabriel. Damn. I guess I should have seen that coming - but I really kinda thought there was no room in his heart for anyone but his brothers. Or maybe he was simply being chaotic. The scene at his death, with the scorched wings, was actually pretty tear-jerking.

It would be in character for Gabriel to intersperse important pieces of information all the way through that porno - so the Winchesters would have to watch it over and over to make sure they got all the hints. Thank God we were spared that, at least.

Kali would be an awesome ally - but she'd never be an ally. She's all about destruction and change. I'm pretty sure that loyalty, or even shared goals, are simply impossible for her to maintain for any length of time. Kali vs. Death would be awesome to watch (from a concrete bunker, or possibly the moon,) but I suspect they'd sort of ... bounce.

I know, me too. And I really would've liked to see Cas and Gabriel meet again. But that Ghostfacers bit kinda threw me. I had no idea what was going on at first. I'm really going to miss Gabriel!

WHY, GABRIEL, WHY?!
I thought he was going to try to fake his death again, but wings burnt onto the floor . I was hoping that the porno held his essence/sword something, not a message.

He was a fun character, and the whole dynamic between him and Lucifer was awesome. "Lucy, I'm home"-
I expected that line several episodes ago.

Other gods were meh. I guess it was to show how powerful Lucifer was, even in a weak vessel.
Odin was significantly less badass than I expected, but maybe Changes ruined it for me. Hermes was just creepy. Chinese god spoke Cantonese. Baldur looked pretty sex, but he was pretty useless.

Ganesha Elephant peep show, lol.

Kali looked like Michelle Obama. With FLAMING arms.

Lucifer was :awesome the entire time. I wanted Kali to try and cut him, then try her spell.

Pestilence looked like my 9th grade English teacher. With more snot.

On the gods, maybe they have varying levels of power based on the amount of worshipers, and the strength of their faith. More Hindus than Voodoo-ers, more gods in the Hindu pantheon.

I thought there was a Discworld reference with the world turtle.

I still don't get what the fuck the Ghostfacers thing was about.

Kali as an ally wouldn't work because she's too high profile and doesn't have the Enochian Rib Insurance.

Three episodes left, not four. I could link to minor spoilers, which are really just episode descriptions that you can infer a lot from. But I think I'd get spanked for that even if I did put them in spoiler tags.

Also, I just noticed, bros before hos.

 

Excellent episode.

If it had any Cas, it would've been the best episode of the season.

He was awesome, stepping up like that. Basically this episode has left it all up to Sam, Dean to save the world. I'm predicting there won't be any glimpses of God at all, they won't find Him, and it'll all come down to Dean and/or Sam having to kill one another.

 

Easily one of my favourite episodes this season.

Well at least we have a nice picture of what the rest of the season will look like (Ring hunting, followed by confrontations of a sort). Poor, awesome, Gabriel. The gods were awesome, but nothing compared to Lucifer's killing spree. I'm curious as to know if Lucifer will end up trapped or, along the way, he'll end up deadened. Things are heating up, which is great.

And oh, those Ghostfacers...

 

Yeah, that did seem a little... easy.

But at the same time, it raised the stakes exponentially. It turned a situation that could have made all religious gods into the flavours of the week, and made God/Lucifier the inheritors of Earth and the rightful badass'.

It made the End Game worth watching.

 

Episode was awesome!

I was wondering

Lucifer made taking down the old gods look easy - but they attacked individually. I guess we'll spend a while wondering whether, if they'd managed teamwork, especially with Gabriel's help, then would the results have been different. *They* certainly thought that they were badass. The gods were deeply worried about the apocalypse, but none of them really thought the situation was hopeless.

When Baldr called the summit (and whose bright idea was the humans-as-dinner, anyway?) each of the gods represented itself as a serious threat to the "Judeo-Christian apocalyptic" progression. Surely, *that* much star power could have been effective.

There are a few gods (Samedi, in particular,) whom we don't have in the body count. It's conceivable that a few players are convinced that, suddenly, cooperation might be the only route to survival.

On the other hand, Odin fell before he could even get in a blow, Mercury never got a chance to dodge, KALI couldn't do *any* damage at all...

If Gabriel hadn't been killed, I'm pretty sure I'd have walked out of that episode thinking that archangels are literally immortal. Did Lucifer use Gabriel's own blade against him? That might be relevant.

 

After the DVD at the end its pretty clear that Lucifer wont be killed, so the blade likely has little relevance

 

They're really stepping their game up with these last 3 eps. Lucifer's bad ass killing spree and then the entire ending with the angel bros and Gabe's Casa Erotica 13 were the best moments. Oh, and this...




He's from Hell though....Shooting fire at the devil ain't gonna get it. Cool graphics and all.

Wow. Missouri! I haven't heard about her since season 1. I wonder what happened to her? I guess she could come back as God. She was awesome in "Home".

 

Supernatural finale promo. Looks good. Crossing fingers that Bobby doesn't die. Killing a Winchester lost shock value a long time ago, so it's going to have to be somebody else. Maybe Castiel? If they're ending the apocalypse storyline it makes sense to kill him off.
