    ...you niggers aren't sad enough.

Beatles "Hey Jude" (incidentally, the only song of theirs I like)

Dionne Warwick/Diana Krall "Walk On By"

Eva Cassidy "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (which is more sad because of the singer's fairly tragic story)

Aaliyah "At Your Best" (again, because of the singer)

    Brian McKnight "6,8,12"

    Tupac Shakur "Thugz Mansion (acoustic)"

    Aerosmith "Crazy"

    Patsy Cline "Crazy"

    Pilate "the Travel Song"

Toni Braxton "Another Sad Love Song", "Stupid"

    Faith Hill "There You'll Be"

    Mindy Smith "Angel Doves"

Evanescence "Hello" (Yeah, preemptive "Fuck you." I like this song, and like playing it as well)

Jonnell Mosser "Stop In the Name of Love"

Lisa Stansfield "Been Around the World"

Natalie Merchant "One Fine Day" (meh...on the fence")

    Silverchair "Ana"

    Five for Fighting "100 Years"

    Ben Folds "Brick"

Eve 6 "Here's to the Night" (Graduation song)

    Melissa McClelland "Rooftops"

Brian Setzer Orchestra "Since I Don't Have You"

Donnell Jones "Where I Wanna Be"

Babyface "When Can I See You Again"

    Counting Crows "Colorblind"

    Sarah Barellies "Gravity"

    George Michael "Teacher"

    Eric Carmen "All By Myself"

    Mariah Carey "One Sweet Day"

    Fink "All Cried Out"

    Julie London "Am I Blue"

Frank Sinatra "All or Nothing At All"

    Ray Charles "Hard Times" (Favorite)

    Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine"

Elvis Costello "I'll Never Fall In Love Again"

LeAnne Rimes "Blue" (play it on your guitar sometime, real bluesy-like)

Blaise, if I had never seen how dark you are in PYP, I would swear you were white. If only for your taste in music in this thread. >_> Eclectic taste ftw though brah.

How can you like only one Beatles song? Even people who don't think they are/were the greatest rock band ever have several Beatles songs they love. Anyway, "Hey Jude" and "Eleanor Rigby" are both awesomely sad, but "Yesterday" is better by far, and "Let It Be" is also sad and incredibly good.

Diana Krall is talented and hot - 'nuff said.

And "Blue" is all the more incredible for Rimes being about 14 when she recorded it.

    My contributions:

"Crazy Faith" by Alison Krauss & Union Station

"The World I Know" by Collective Soul

"Say Goodbye" by Dave Matthews Band

    "Wasting My Time" by Default

"Romeo and Juliet" by Dire Straits

"Here Comes The Rain Again" by the Eurythmics

"Bleed To Love Her" and "Big Love" by Fleetwood Mac

"Until I Fall Away" by Gin Blossoms

"November Rain" by Guns N' Roses

"He Went to Paris" by Jimmy Buffett (fuck off, it's awesome)

"Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" and "Disposable Heroes" by Metallica (the uber-awesome Master of Puppets album)

    "Carnival" by Natalie Merchant

"Black" and "Release" by Pearl Jam ("Black" is possibly my all-time favorite song)

"Jumper" and "How's It Going To Be" by Third Eye Blind

"Cry To Me" by Tom Petty

"Go Rest High On That Mountain" by Vince Gill (hey, it was for his dead brother, give the guy a break)

Most of the songs by Pink Floyd and Sarah McLachlan and almost everything by Toad the Wet Sprocket (they're all three still awesome though)

Not a real vid of the song, more of a mash of a bunch of girls.

The song though, is amazing in my humble opinion.

    Citizen Cope? Fuck yeah!

Good choices all around. I'll be pretty surprised if anyone's ever heard of this band, but they're legendary in their homeland. I've never in my life heard a group who made you feel the music so powerfully you never needed to understand the lyrics.

Forever Love (the final performance; very emotional & bittersweet)
    The Last Song
    Tears
    Crucify My Love
    Unfinished
    Say Anything
Without You (at memorial ceremony for their lead guitarist)
    Longing

I am aware they look completely ridiculous.

    EDIT:
If you liked that, try Smoke. Same artist; better song.
