Block it with a barracks, as soon as your scv finishes building the barracks use it to build a bunker, and rally marines in it. Don't do a complete block, just leave room for 1 unit so that they will naturally try to run around barracks to get to your bunker. Minimal damage.

Ditto on what elvin said, minus the bunker and small gap. You should never do a wall off completely made of supply depots because anyone who does that against me never wins due to banelings.

If you guys want I can post some replays of me getting pwned by platinum terran players (I haven't figured out how to win against them yet) and see what they do.

That'd be great, actually. Thanks much.

Thanks for the barracks advice. I've discovered that it's good against Zerg, but sucks against Protoss.

And beleive it or not, I have thought about playing better before. Lol.

Lol here's LONG one (45 minutes) of me against a pretty decent terran player. He completely pwned me because I forgot that broodlords existed T__T. Since that's the only hive unit worth getting it just totally slipped my mind lol.

I played like an idiot at some points too because it was just way too long, but it might help with your build orders if you see some good ideas. I haven't even watched the replay yet myself so tell me how it is.

I just had my favourite win ever. I was vs a terran but my keyboard wasn't working in the game, so I had to play that entire game with only the mouse which kind of sucked. Still it was a LOL game for me because he just happened to be going banshee rush XD.

It's pretty important to get some anti-air out quick - either through multiple queens or Hydras. I prefer quick Lair because then you get Overseers which are awesome for scouting. They also help against banshee stealth, which can be a real bitch.

Also, fast expand Zerg works in every matchup. It's probably hardest in ZvZ, and getting used to handling +1 Marauder timing attacks can be nasty - but once you've stomped on that without losing too much, you're in a really good position to win.

Falcon.rox -- my current name on SC2. I keep forgetting what I was using as the .name part every time it resets so I have to pick something new.

Bronze League for both 1v1 and 2v2 random. My 2v2 team is getting there. Watch me fall back into Copper right after typing that.

I prefer to play with people than against them, but I can do whatever. ;) I just find that if you team up with someone better than you you're more likely to get good gameplay tips as they yell at you to EFFING DO THIS GAWD.

Man, I hate it when Terrans try this. It can be really annoying when it works. Which it didn't.

Agreed. I rarely if ever play against anyone on my friend list XD, the only exception being if anyone wants to test a build against zerg.

EDIT: Solomon I just watched your replay XD. If you're up against a terran, I'd recommend that you chrono boost your stalker to counter an early reaper because if he had better micro you may have lost a lot more probes. Also, when you make your first observer, set the rally point to the opponent's base so that it gets there as fast as possible. If you see seige tanks and marauders, a good way to go is a couple of immortals as well.

I don't think I enjoy playing 1v1 quickmatches anymore. It's so fucking annoying because they always put you up against mirror. I play zerg its zvz, I switch to protoss my next 5 games are pvp. WTF.

WTF @ ~14:25. Your opponent cancels a factory that was almost done to move another factory to its add-on, and build another...factory?

Your attack @ 19:10 you should have brought at least one overlord with you. Being able to see the high ground sooner probably would have made your attack a success. Same with ~27:00

I actually used to do that. Then I stopped when I accidentally sent a Colossus right into enemy lines. :(

Yeah. Um. I suck -- keep that in mind. This person sucks even more. But he still won. Why? Because of a combination of my stupidity and general laziness.

But I was being extremely stupid in this game, a combination of just plain suckyness, and me yelling at my cousin for being a fucking retard for various reasons.

Basically, the guy was a horrible player who I let expand. Massively. It's a long ass game. I literally left the computer for minutes at a time do go do something else when I got bored. I'd recommend skipping through it. I just had to upload this for the mindblowing shit it was.

Just lost a 2v2 game. Everything was going fine. TP vs TP. I wiped out the enemy protoss with a reaper strike, but then my partner quit for some reason. Later, I was killed by mass vikings.

I'm playing primarily 2v2 together with a friend of mine.
In our most recent game, we (TZ) were playing against ZP and the Protoss player went directly for Carriers (he built only maybe a dozen other units before).
It was the first time in over 30 games that I saw them in action and I learned something new: you really, really have to focus them. Otherwise your units just end up shooting at all the small Interceptors.
We still won easily in the end (luckily I had two Starports with Reactors ready to churn out Vikings), but it could have been over one attack earlier.

We both pretty much suck at doing two things at the same time (microing the front and building the base at the same time?), but we can at least balance that with good teamwork (constant contact over voice).
We mostly end up just combining mass roaches with mass marines. (pretty much because it isn't as demanding as kiting with marauders/reapers and the roaches need anti-air support anyway.)

Any tips or recommendations for 2v2 T/Z are welcome.

Only advice I can give as a zerg player for 2v2 is to scout. It's probably one of the most important things that you have to keep doing over the course of the entire game because zerg gets countered so ridiculously hard that if you don't do it you just lose.

Also, anyone up for a 2v2 on custom? I haven't done it yet but I'm pretty sure its possible.
