This was without a doubt the single fuck nuttiest episode of SN I ever watched ever, I have to freely admit I don't understand half of what happened but heres my thoughts.
Wow so much shit happening, little disappointed with Cas and Bobby at first for giving up but holy fucking balls.

The ring trick failing the first time was kind of expected and it was nuts to see just how far Azazel manipulated Sams life.

Now to the crux, everything in the graveyard. I fucking loved every minute of it. The speech Lucifer gave was awesome and Micheals response to it was actually kind of underwhelming. Then Cas and Bobby pop in "Hey Assbutt" I fucking LOL and then my brain asploded when Lucifer fucking scattered Castiel over the landscape and broke Bobbys neck I was not expecting that shit at all. It was an incredible scene watching Sam fight back control of his body and I loved every minute of it. Dragging Micheal into hell with him was an awesome final touch but then shit just got confusing as balls. Fights over Deans mourning with his ruined face and then Castiel got better from being dead and fixed Bobby too with no explanation as to how he came back and then he just vanished and is now apparently running Heaven? Then the whole going to Lisa thing which was very sweet. Then Chuck who just disappeared with a POOF, was Chuck supposed to be God? Finally Sam was standing under the light and I just dont know what to make of that.

Look at the name, it should be obvious.
I was thinking along the same lines especially since Sera Gamble (the chick who takes over for Kripke next year) pretty much came out and said that they are going to the basics (read = Monster of the Week) next year. The role reversals would perfectly as Sam is now going to be the Hunter, and Dean is gonna try his hand at being normal.

Yeah, Chuck was supposed to be God, I can't say I'm a fan of it since it negates all the places where Sam, Dean, and him were in danger.

Huh, I honestly don't like that. That just seems like a copout to me as well.

Holy shit. :awesome Fans will be bitching, yes.
Chuck?! Man, the writers definitely did a whole self-insert thing with him.
    Also, CHUCK WAS GOD/THEWRITERS/WTF.
I thought he would be the Impala.

It seemed like Bobby was just there in the background. Even when he used the Colt, which was beyond pointless.

Cas attempting a smile was creepin. Assbutt, lol. :mid2Seems like the perfect smiley to use. Running heaven? Bah, I hope Misha Collins is contracted for season 6, or at least for some guest appearances.

I don't get why the light flickered when Sam was under it. Is he still high on demon blood? Did Lucifer break free?

The narration threw me off a bit, but I didn't mind. The sequence with the flashback of every memory of the Impala got to me, especially the star scene.

I'm going to be watching it again when it comes up on the interwebz.

They actually managed to keep it open for another season. Crafty fuckers.:awesome

Chuck being God pissed me off so fucking much. I liked the episode right up to the part where Sam threw himself into the pit. It seemed like it happened way too early in the episode.

Also: I think that Michael fighting Lucifer in Adam's body might have been a plot hole. IIRC, Adam wasn't a perfect vessel, he was a temporary one. It would have been like Lucifer fighting him while in Nick's body.

Isn't that necklace Dean has supposed to grow hot in God's presence? I'm not sure but I think he had that on for the several times they were in the presence of Chuck.

Yup, he's the author who wrote all of the Supernatural books. Supposedly has a divine psychic connection to the boys' life.

First off: CARRY ON MY WAYWAAAAAARRRRDDDD SOOOOOONNNNNN... *cough*

I don't believe for one fucking second Chuck was God. When I was watching him go poof, I never said to myself, "Hey, was he God?". If he is, it's fandom bitching time, as predicted. If not, fine.

Episode was pretty fucking boss. Hit all the right notes with me, and was nicely dark and depressing. The graveyard stuff was fucking unbelievably awesome, what with Cas exploding and all. Misha's entire performance was right on the nose - even as an Angel again in the end, he still displayed emotions akin to his almost-human self. Good stuff.

The narrations worked well for me. The Impala stuff was great, and the little toy soldier was a neat little Chekhov's Gun for Sammy to break free of Lucifer for the moment. That Impala saved the world - yay! I always liked Chuck, so yeah. Like I said, the narrations worked well for me, though I can understand others disliking it.

I'm hoping the next season has some potential. I'd hate for Supernatural to pull a Scrubs and have a sucky last season after the season that should've been the last.

I just thought of a plot hole.
Cas burned Michael alive, along with his host, right? So how did heaven make him a new body. He's supposed to only be able to possess Dean. The fact that he could possess Dean's half brother had a pretty big effect on the plot. But, with the body gone, he shouldn't have been able to come back to earth. If heaven could just grow bodies that would take him, why the hell did he spend the whole season waiting for Dean to say yes? He could have made a Dean-copy, went down to earth, WTF!PWNED Lucifer, and ended the world, all during the first episode of the season.

Oh god, rof. Dean rocks up to the fight. That was awesome. Music blaring.

FUCKING CASTIEL AWESOMENESS Moltov to Michael's face.

    ...god dammit Cas exploded. ;_;

    But that was kinda awesome.

"No one fucks with my brother, but me!" BOOM

    ..aw bobby. ;_; snap.

    Not as epic as Cas.

(as I watch it I'm typing)

..fuck me lucy beat the fuck out of Dean's face. @@

    "Cas are you god?"

"..no but that's a nice compliment."

Holy Fire hurts them something awful, but it doesn't rape them to cinders.

Yeah Michael got burned, but I don't think it killed him. It may have killed Adam and destroyed the host but all Michael has to do is resurrect him. That's why killing Sam wasn't ever a really good option, since Lucifer would just perform resurrection. And Dean is not the only person Michael can take, anyone of his bloodline will do, but Dean is his true host. Remember it's kind of implied that Michael and Lucifer are on a whole other class compared to the other archangels. So it's not unreasonable that holy fire can't really kill them. Lucifer was immune to the colt and I bet Michael is too. Also, Michael and Lucifer existing are necessary for the apocalypse to happen, it's literally decreed by God that the apocalypse will happen sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised if the only things that can kill Lucifer/Michael are either themselves or God, despite what the brothers and Gabriel may have believed.

As for the episode itself, I thought it was pretty awesome. If only it could have been longer. I wasn't really upset that Chuck turned out to be God. It makes a kind of sense, Chuck represented the writers of show and the writers are God of the Supernatural 'verse. I'm just irritated that I didn't consider the possibility at all. We all got Kripke'd :(. With regard to the amulet, it's not really a plot hole. I mean the man is God, are we to think that God can't deal with a little measly amulet? He just didn't want to be found. However, that's not to say it wouldn't have been  and :awesome if Cas had turned out to be God.

So Cas gets rezzed and a power boost, but what about poor Jimmy? He got to experience the awesomeness of being blown to smithereens twice, that can't be good for his mental health. Do Lisa and her kid have to die for a new season of Supernatural to work out? Does Dean have to get a real job to support his new family? Has Sam become a Super Saiyan?

EDIT: Oh, and too bad there was no Crowley.

Before I return to lurking I have to ask wasn't the antichrist kid supposed to be a really big player in the end of the world? What happened to him?
