    The only types not dual type with water are Water/Ghost and Water/Fire.

    EDIT: I forgot about Kingdra, my bad.

    EDIT2: Forgot Palkia too.

    I honestly have never cared about types in pokemon games, I just find ones that look cool, and go with them.

    And, the fire one (one I usually pick) looks so retarded in this gen, i'd probably have to go with the grass one.

    I've been a loyal fire user for the last four generations, but like Ellisande, I'm not really feeling the look on 'Baconator'. So for the first time since... ever, I'm going to try the water starter (depressed otter) or the grass snake.

    EDIT: Baconator is the first good fire type since cyndaquil. Tru story.

    So with two more types water will have a dual type with everything, does that make water the type whore of pokemon?

    Water has a ridiculous number of pokemon to its name compared to other types.

    I could go for some more dark types. They're damn hard to pick up early on and you just know one of the gyms is going to have a psychic and/or ghost speciality. Actually, could the fire one be a dual fire/dark type? The black fur keeps hinting that to me.

    That would make it Grass/Dragon, Fire/Dark... Water/Flying?

    Can't really make a guess at the water one since my first instinct was water/ice, but that would upset the grass/fire/water balance they've always had going on.

    /me stays quiet on how it's much more likely that Infernape rapes an Empoleon than the other way around with its speed and Fighting subtype.

    But yeah. Fire/Dark allows for fire to cover dark's bug weakness, but I'm concerned it might overlap with Houndoom gameplay wise. Time will tell.

    Personally, I think it's unlikely that the otter will get Flying as a subtype. Ice or Fighting seem to be stronger candidates, IMO.

    Also someone from my team also wants a word with you:

    I might try the little fire pig, but Charmander is still the most boss fire starter since pokemon shit began. Trufax.

    I remember picking it when I first started with Red Version in 97', because it looked the best out of all three.

    Yeah, Charizard was as cool as a fire pokemon could get. Still liked Squirtle better, he was just awesome.

    Squirtle was pretty decent, I remember choosing it for my second run through Red Version. Totodile wasn't a bad follow up though for a starter.

    I've never chosen a grass starter though. Just far too many weaknesses to contend with, however Grass/Dragon might reduce the issues a bit though.

    I'm gonna choose all three starters regardless. Ah, the joys of having more than one DS per household.

    I have to admit, grass types are growing on me. Bulbasaur was a disappointment, Chikorita more so. But Treecko and Turtwig have been great starters, imo.

    The only consitent starter pokemon so far have been water pokemon, liked most of them from Squirtle to Mudkip. Although Piplup looked a little too much like Torchic for my tastes.

    This x5.

    Turtwig was such a boss starter, treecko was cool too. I hated Piplup at first but pick him on a playthrough. Empoleon has a habit of raping shit everywhere it goes and on top of that, it's a smug fucker.

    Chimchar and torchic are still raging fags though.

    I was thinking of getting a Nintendo DS and a pokemon game, thing is I haven't played any since Silver/Gold years ago, now which one would you buy, the newest Heart Gold/Soul Silver, which more or less seems like the same game with new graphics or Diamond/Pearl?

    edit: fixed :D, thanks

    ^ HGSS. By far. It's much better than Platinum. It's much better than the old G/S games.

    Not just in terms of better graphics but the game-play is better and there's much more of it. The fourth-gen additions are awesome combined with it.

    Edit: Perl? :awesome

    Best looking legendaries yet, imo.

    Needless to say; I'll be getting Pokemon White.

    Not bad at all. I honestly did not see this reveal coming yet (Since all the good stuff comes in the middle of the month). A pleasant surprise.

    Meh, they seem alright. They kinda look like digimon to me though. I wonder what the typing will be?

    Zerkrom= Dark/???
    Reshiram= Psychic/???
