and sorry if this is a dumb question but are the pokemons in OU usable or just those below it? Or is it just forbidden to have the attacks learned by those pokemon that are written next to them?

 

Count me in. I've never played competitevly before (in fact, I haven't played against a human opponent since Gen I), but this sounds fun.

 

Maybe the first 2 rounds will be simple elimination, then 2 rounds of best out of 3, and the final best out of 5?

 

Overused includes the pokemon in the OU tier... obviously.

All moves that a pokemon can legally learn show up in the field where you're making your team.

So far a lot of you have submitted teams with more than one pokemon holding the same item.

The item clause will be enabled which disallows this. Mostly because then there would be nothing to stop someone from rocking up with 6 focus sashes and making the battle tedious. Other clauses will be decided on tomorrow when I have less chance of passing out from exhaustion.

Also... the winner gets a prize.

 

There's 2 leftovers, though, right? Like in the games? If not, I'm screwed...

 

Just use a shell bell in place of the other leftover. >_>

There are many other extremely useful items, try them out.

 

Lots of items are available, like Seratin says. Any number of berries can be used to fix status changes, raise attack/defense stats, and recover hp/pp. Many other items exist to boost stats; others have different effects like first strike, lowering speed, etc. etc.

Use your head and think up a winning strategy, grub :3
